So my 8-year-old son asked me (more like begged me ) to watch this. I was reluctant but gave this a shot. 5 minutes in and I'm glued to the screen. The storyline is epic. I thoroughly enjoyed this film. This is like my third time watching. I was searching for a behind the scene video.

2 years later and this is STILL better than 90% of anime fighting. No words, no dialog, but just enough body language to express the weight of sadness, the joy of success, and the happiness of a ragtag group of friends who did the impossible. @Jolpico As i said, that's only in the art and animation category. Though animation is a stretch since if you imagined gogeta and broly as sticks, the animation quality would be around the same level for both fights. Anyways, the choreography here is more appealing, especially with the huge use of the enviornment and unique use of sites in the first part of the dark lord fight. You COULD argue dragon ball doesn't have as many options for creativity as AVA, but that's just incorrect because Ki is one of the most diverse power systems, they've done just about everything (Separated by arcs, but my point stands.) Anyways as i said, comparing them is pointless because they're both good fights in their own rights, and do better than the other in different areas. People will have different opinions no matter what.

A thing that is really interesting to see: All villians in Alans animations are either broken or became good (or both) For example for one of the most recent episodes "The king" we see that the King was broken and became good again which explains why he wasnt defeated However TDL was just pure evil which is why it had to go

but also yeah, dark isn't pure evil --- he's broken, like you mentioned she got basically used by her creator and after chosen and dark left they basically (like rolito said) did what king did. although in their case, they succeeded. from what i can see dark has been surrounded by violence for as long as they've existed, and both dark and chosen seem to solve their problems by fighting rather than properly talking. at 12:48 , you can see dark show the virabot to chosen with nothing but excitement, which kind of implies that up until now chosen hasn't said anything about wanting to stop destroying the internet. at 13:20 chosen does try to stop dark, but only says no once before resorting to violence and pushing her. from the way dark reacts it seems like they've had general disagreements before, although it's usually not serious, which is why she turns and tries to press the button again, as if she thought chosen was joking. at this point chosen doesn't even try and talk at all, and they both just start fighting. from dark's point of view, it probably seems like chosen betrayed her, since it doesn't seem like chosen even tries to fully explain their reasoning --- they just say "no, stop" and then start fighting with dark. even at 16:55 when chosen walks in, dark doesn't immediately try to fight. he just turns to look at chosen, and chosen is the one who immediately jumps to fighting. this one is more just personal interpretation, but at 22:30 when you see dark beating up chosen it seems really personal. like, he could've just lasered chosen into the ground and released the virabots, but she chooses to constantly punch chosen, again and again, like she's venting out her frustration at seeing her best friend of years (in her mind) suddenly betray her. it doesn't help that immediately after, chosen teams up with alan, the one guy they'd both hated for years (and probably sworn revenge against). i don't really condone what dark did, especially the whole genocide thing, but the reasoning kind of makes sense to me. he seems like a tragic villain, just like king and purple, just more dangerous and more immoral. i think there's still room to redeem her, considering we don't actually _see_ her dead.

26:03 this is the best scene by far! All of them wanting to help each other and the chosen one. I like how TDL did not kill them immediately but fought with them, just to show them they are nothing compared to him, that this will be their last realization they made in their lives. I like the way alan made TSC. That his powers unlock only when he sees his loved one die. This happened in AVA IV too, when alan deleted his friends, he was glitching into the chosen one. Edit: i forgot to tell the fact that we thought he was just natural at this point, until this episode. That he cannot even control his own powers because they are just too op for him to own. How he immediately fell down and fainted when he stopped using his powers
