AA had one of the best qol mechanics, which was when u got in a pod it let u chose if u can match up with randoms for the stage your doing (it came out around halloween upd) this was great for console and ppl not in the discord (i personally can say that was the best qol in any td)

Av has: Dry unit effects Delayed updates Delayed updates comes with tons and i mean TONS of bugs Events are boring, easily afkable, and macroable. Getting exclusives, secrets, good traits, are waaaaaaay too easy. And worst at all they scammed youtubers, and their players from that mythic pity(its supposed to be an exclusive pity) banner bug and did not compensate for it.

I am going to be honest anime adventures takes the win here of course many people wouldnt agree but all these games stemmed from AA with improved reward system and grind system. Anime adventure have a advantage on events though just because i feel like they know how to promote it more and playing the update over just doesnt really feel boring (i dont know how to explain the feeling, they just manage the hype very well). The devs communication is a huge huge huge difference though aa literally don't care, don't even really listen to their playerbase. They just drop it regardless of complains about the update. I think this play a big part on why it is like a good game but maybe they were too extreme. (some of the update were too extreme though like the roger update, it was actually horrendous) I know this doesn't really make sense but when you get used to it and start putting hours into grinding and grinding you feel like it is much worth the effort when you actually get the unit. Quitters on the other hand well i understand their feeling but hey just use tinytask or even alts so higher chance (i am not against using alt accounts since the player who uses it is also putting effort into maintaining that alt except for scripters with 10-100 accounts 💀 ). The best thing about AA is their original anime units, the design just looks so cool you want to grind for it, those who feels the hype everytime we see a sneak knows this feeling. The only other huge problem is the paywall for traits, it was almost 100% p2w in terms of traits, they should introduce quest rewards not asking for much but even just 5 per week makes a difference. The other thing is evoing units i really disagree with the fact that we need to spend so much time on evoing units and this point actually applies to both games pretty much every td game so far. I think it would be far better to make the materials easier just so people like f2p can also start grinding the main updates (progress faster) instead of trying to better their units for hours and hours in order to join a group of people to grind. They should make evoing take like less time especially the stars they should increase the amount of challenges so we can get stars more easily since we need takedowns too. The only thing they really need to change a lot is the QOL like bro opening capsules takes so long lol i hate it so much selling units too, it is insane. I also think tournament need some changes it is too trait focus imo, either they increase the amount of rewards being given out or maybe a tier system.

The core gameplay is pretty much identical, and aside from visuals AV really doesn’t do enough to justify the longer update times. They both share massive flaws like over reliance on RNG mechanics to bloat out gameplay to a point where sometimes the grind turns into a “ok finally jeez I can stop now” rather than “wow yeah that was a fun grind can’t wait for the next batch” BUT AA partially circumvents this by having evo items be mostly shared across the same stage as the rare drops

I played av for 4 hours i think and got bored, after i put the codes i alr had 100 rr which i don't like to get rr easy because it doesn't make me grind for traits like AA. In AA when i got a mythic trait i would be very very happy. +idk in av i got bored very fast. Anyway everyone plays what they like.

About Anime Adventures QOL Like I know what you are talking about but..... when AA was top game i think no one thinks about it that much. I just think the whole new Gen TD games start adding this like Manage units only for show people they have more things than the other Thats my thoghts about that. When i was playing AA i just dont even needed that things i Never thought about it.

To be honest AV delaying its update is fine for me as long as it's only a few days, the main problem is how thr dev treated the community, most people might agree that none of AV update was good (very mid) especially when update 1.5 is released its too p2w, u only got 10-35 wisps every match its basically impossible to get the new diavolo requiem since getting the supposed mythic is already hard enough

tbh, You all got blinded by "nostalgic" and really dont care anything beside that, even before anime adventure shut down the only one game that compete is astd and yet astd is release first before aa. But aa give quality game like UI, game mode that you can grind, event, etc. And when first release aa also dont have a lot of feature in fact they even still not adding new feature in the latest update before shutdown. And now a lot td in roblox game release, some also give quality game and want to show they are uniqe and have something that aa still not give to player. And today anime vanguard also doing their best just like when anime adventure release, they also give fair play to player about trait reroll, that i dont think aa give a lot about rerolls. like bosss event shop you can purchase 65 rerolls with token from clear the stage, raid shop, cursed shop, and new dan dadan raid shop. did you think aa give all that? you should be compare anim venguard with early release aa. And i also hope that vanguard still giving their best, and other tower defense i hope they give quality update like ui and other things.

@@Zion-vq8ot yes but you can't get leaderboard for infinite, infinity castle, and onther things too. that will make gap between p2w player and f2p player really big you can cleary see that in top leaderboaard guild, your guild ain't go to top 100 without uniqe. And vanguard give you chance for your luck by giving many reroll that you can get for free to experience like p2w player.
