@ALLTHESAVED Air TV and Air: The Motion Picture tell two parallel stories- one about Misuzu Kamio, a blonde girl in modern times, and Princess Kanna, a winged girl from the distant past. The feudal Japan scenes you see feature Kanna- she doesn't appear as often in the promotional images. But it is the same series as Air TV. And the second anime you asked about (the guy with the mask) is Utawarerumono. It's awesome!
