Space marines are not robots, are bio-enginered super humans or simply said demi-gods, the fire weapons are named bolters who instead of normal bullets use kind of mini-rockets madet from adamantium and have a few grams of uranium what make them to explode after one second when is already in the target and is enough to destroy half of a human who don't have a armor extremely OP, and they use most of the time chainwords what are what they sound, chainsaw swords which are made from adamantium like most of the weapons of the Imperium of Man armored vehicles and armor of titans howerver the thickness of the teeths of the chainwords is not biger than that of a molecule, anyway the swords and all weapons seen in the trailer of the Horus Heresy with eletricity on them are named "power weapons" madet from adamantium how i mentioned about most of the weapons the imperium and that eletricity is in true the Energy distruptor Field what make the weapons which have one to cut among atoms comparing with light sabers from Star Wars which "burn" not "cut" what make them better because even if have a mallfunction is still usefull as a weapon but they can be empowered if the user have psihic powers/space magicto empower the weapon. Bonus fact psihic powers comparing to others scifi or fantasy universess all humans have psihic powers but they just need to unkown them in one way or anather and psykers are discriminateds and considered most dangerows mutants but the part with discrimination is undestandable but they have not limits of mana but they need to be carefull and trained or the the psiker will vomit eto-plasma/psihic energy, mutate, theirs heads can explode in a very gore way, atract daemons because all living beings have souls which shine in the imaterium and psykers souls are more intens and biger and daemons can possess the untrained psykers and even a normal human posessed is hard to kill, howerver without them the Imperium of Man will fall because they won't be able to travel the warp without all humans to die in brutal ways and disapear or even just to enter, and yes warp travel is among only ways to travel faster than the speed of light and is very dangerows and that is shown in the horror movie Event Horizon considered canonn by warhammer 40k community, anather thing complete crucial for the survival of mankind is communication maket by the weaker psykers named astropaths who seend and and get telepathic mesages and this job is horrible, the astropaths because use psychic powers all the time are ugly and mutated and is painfull too, but a good thing is that psihic powers can be keepet under control with training and augmentations and most of the psykers have a staff to help them to control their powers and to make them to hear more clear all voices from daemons other psykers but bighest weakness of a psyker is the limitation of how much their body can resist, howerver is much to tell reason why i recomand you guys to react/watch lore videos about warhammer 40k, sorry to the bonus facts was much longer than they needet it will by very helpful to understand the lore and is cool too.
