Fun fact: the reason doflamingo always has shades on is because of the idea that looking into a humans eyes is the same as looking into their soul. However, Oda wanted to paint the image that Doflamingo has no soul. Eren wasn't even broken he made the sanest choice and instead of having Paradis massacred he launched the Rumbling to push away the enemies of Paradis. Ofcourse this meant probably millions of innocent lives lost but also millions more enemies and tyrants were killed that saw the people of Paradis as less than humans. He didn't want his friends to die and protected his people who had been through so much suffering. In the end he also sacrificed so many things including his life for it. I don't know though.
