I think Yamazaki in Gintama looks even younger than Kondou without a beard. And his behavior is also childish. He is constantly afraid of Vice-Commander and respectfully calls him fukucho (Vice-Commander). And he is inexperienced. I don't think he's ever used a proper sword in his life. But it turns out he was 32 years old. .And he was the same age as Abuto. I didn't notice when Shinpachi said you're an adult anyway. (Sorry for the bad english.).
