Against the god of the new World, and Shinigami that can kill without contact, one would need to have a sharp skill set in order to win. L is the prodigy needed to combat an otherworldly power-wielding madman! But if we squish him down into this kawaii little figure he seems so much more approachable. So it's time to open up this new release from Max Factory and Goodsmile Company. After Light Yagami 2.0 it was only fair that they re-made L as well. These figures were in MASSIVE need for a revamping because their old models were some of the first Nendoroids released! So let's see if this figure measures up to the expectation!

Yeah, his hair sculpt is really fantastic. The sitting pose is very typical for him, that one in the chair without the cake is the best.

Yeah, the smiling faceplate is just so wholesome. It’s nice to see him in a good mood since he so commonly looks miserable and lethargic. Haha.

That ball at the end of the fork is just a design choice actually. He has a pink fork just like that in the ending pages of a one shot, so it’s just for accuracy! :)

Neat. The first figure I ever wanted was actually the old L Nendoroid but I never did get it since the price was so ridiculous. instead I got the Makise Kirusu Nendoroid.

Not a bad choice! Now that there's a new L you can get the BEST version! But man, am I mad I missed out on the Steins;Gate nendos. They went up big time in price. My precious Mayuri... tuturu.

I'll defnitely pick up the 2.0's. I kind of didn't see it coming myself. As such I only retain the upper torso and head piece of my Makise nendo. But I do have the Mayuri as well. She's got some damage on her too but much more minute. One of the best Nendo's in my opinion the sheer number of extra pieces you get with her made her worth every penny. Of course now the case is different.

Yeah, we share a lot of similar opinions here actually. Eventually I need to compare the state of Nendos to the previous ones. But I think L is a great step in a better direction.

He only comes with the accessory arms. No ordinary arms unfortunately.

Personally I am a Light fan but as far as the figures go I feel like the L nendo is just a bit more accurate? Light is kind of a generic brown haired protagonist but L is so much easier to identify as himself. Light looks great holding the actual death note and all but a brown haired guy in a suit doesn’t make the most interesting figure.
