Question for you..... I thought you said acrylic paint will crack and that it’s better to use enamel paint? Please let me know. Thank you.... I have been following you in all videos before I start...
@Theartofkirkabrigo Жыл бұрын
I use to use enamel paints. But the strong smell kinda made me stop. What I said and also demonstrated in my other videos is that a good quality acrylic paint is what you need. The low quality ones will crack. I always use the blick brand, liquitex or Golden to get good results. Decoart or low quality paints of that nature would most likely crack when used for glass art.

How long do you wait between each color to dry? Also how long would you say it takes to complete one painting session start to finish?
@Theartofkirkabrigo8 ай бұрын
Drying time differs. Depends on quality of the paint. A faster way to do it is to not do colors that are next to each other. This way one color is drying while you are doing the other. Finishing time also differs depending on size and detail. In this art patience pays off. Hope this helps.

Before painting on glass do u need to prep the glass at all? Like wipe it down with something at all?

Can you use the same types of paint on acrylic glass instead of normal glass, or do you have to use different types of paint. Doing a project and would like to use acrylic glass instead of glass to draw on and was wanting to kmow if that is feasible or possible with acrylic glass?

Yes you can use acrylic paint on acrylic glass. Works just the same. Good luck with your project.

I'm a litte late to the video, but I've just got into this hobby and tried it for the first time after watching you tutorial which was very useful ^^ But my outline lines are hideous, how do you make yours so straight? Is is just practice? Thank you :)
@Theartofkirkabrigo7 ай бұрын
Hi Doris. Yes you hit the nail on the head. It takes practice. Keep practicing and before long your lines will be great. Also don’t be afraid to use the exactly knife to scrape and correct mistakes.

hello! I have learned a lot watching your videos. thank you. I would like to ask you a question. I'm from Mexico and they don't sell the sharpie paint oil based ultra fine marker here. I have been looking for it on Amazon but I find 2 types of markers. one is like the one you show in the video that has a pink ribbon and says oil based. and the other one is like in the photo that you show that only says sharpie paint. will there be any difference? it is that in costs the first one is more expensive. and since I'm going to spend I would like to buy the right one... thanks for your help!

Hey dude! I've been having alot of trouble with the correct combo of materials. I tried lining with the identipen but don't like how you have to do multiple layers to get it opaque (just because it's not AS clean as I'd like then). Then I just tried using the sharpie oil pen which did great lines but as soon as I added my paint it warped the lines and smudged?? I'm using Angelus leather Acrylic paints. Are these wrong to use? I'm so confused as I've watched heaps of your videos and they're great but I can't figure out a perfect paint plus oil pen combo. :( Thanks in advance!!!
@Theartofkirkabrigo2 жыл бұрын
The Angelus paint is not the correct paint. You have to use a nice mid to upper quality acrylic paint.
