Honestly don't see Griffith as a hero, even before the Eclipse. While he did end a war and help Guts and his band out several times, nothing in the series was told that he was doing it for an altruistic cause. He wanted a kingdom, it was a childhood dream, and that was it. Even before the Eclipse, he was a cold-blooded narcissist who had no problems with manipulating and convincing others into doing his dirty work. That, and he was possessive to a toxic level, expecting Guts to stay with him and being baffled by the very idea of leaving him behind. While he did show some care for his troops, his dream and ambitions always came first. He gladly sold his band's souls out to the Godhand for a reason. Griffith was always a villain. He just did a really good job at convincing others, including Guts that he was a hero in shining armor who could make a difference in the hellhole that is Berserk's setting.

anything can be considered a hero, its value is bestowed according on how people see the character. lots of people in the series see Griffith as a hero. even after the Eclipse, the apostles think great things about him. the problem of humans is that they have their point of view limited on this planet. you gotta see situations by their entirety, and to do such you must see things according with the universe.

Satoko has always been a good girl, but has an emotional and learning disability, Rica on the other hand, left her alone in the academy when she promised she'll never left her but Rica did give up on her, so Satoko felt betrayed and suffered. When Satoko got the power, she got to know how Rica's past, but Satoko's disattachment issue is strongee 😂, she knew she can't convince Rica unless she did something outrageous, and because she also has that power, so she became like that.

Basically, this Light ends up deviating from his original ideals. Plus, what someone will call unwanted tragic events might ends up being set ups or false accusations, so Kira will be just killed innocent people who were accused falsely or framed for a certain crimes that they never committed.

What I get a bit is, none could be framed or accused for those cases as the government and police won't bother to investigate the death of potential criminals. Light's first two kill have the victim around as witness to confirm it coincidental death.

Several of these are misleadingly out of context. Like Lelouch only made himself out to be a villain to bring world peace and end all wars, or Eren killed 80% of humanity to save the remaining 20% because he foresaw that if he didn't then the Titan wars would have continued indefinitely until all life was wiped out and the world was left a barren wasteland.

Stain isn't a villain technically. He's a deranged, murderous, psychopath. The difference is that what he is doing is not TECHNICALLY out of selfish or evil intent. He genuinely believes he's doing the right thing to help society as a whole and even in universe they admit his actions DID lead to positive changes. So basically... Stain isn't evil, but the acts he did were still sins.

Forever will disagree with Eren or Lelouch being labeled villains. Light is one of my favorite characters of all time, but he is more of a villain out of the three. EDIT: How come Eren didn’t get any context regarding his reason? It's just "He destroyed 80% of the world." Instead it should be: "Became a "villain" to free his race from racism and oppression."
