I think you can start with demon slayer or death note both are short animes and they are good you should try demon slayer first because it's not that complex compared to death note personnelly I have watched both of them and I have even read the manga of demon slayer which has 205.5 chapters and it was also good

Let me know you both Manga is basically a comic book and it is reffered as Manga in Japanese. Just in video as it said "it will took decades to finish it" I know it's a sarcasm but trust me!!! Naruto is a well written story and if u both start watcing this series, it will took 2 - 3 months only because each episodes have 20 minutes length. After watching this series u will find ur self in different world I give 100% guarantee its total worth worth worth watching that u have never seen till date. (because in this - Music, story, emotions, tragedy, comedy and suspense.....) I don't think there is any proper definition of Anime. Anime is like short form of Animation but it is being used for describing a perticular type of content as specially Japnese hand drawn 2 d animation where story is manly focus around age group of 16 and above. There is many genre of story which can from Commedy to Horror and Psycho - Thriller. Mostly famous series is considered under the category of shounen and some more from seinen category. shounen is for teenagers seinen is for adults.
