First. A protagonist is not a hero. Only the main character. This show was made in Japan, making it an anime. By definition, Keyaru is an anime protagonist. My statement was primarily intended to demonstrate my disgust at this character for his deeds that go beyond revenge. Second, calling it a hentai. I would argue that the acts of rape are too brutal to titillate sympathetic people, making them not pornographic. However. Keyaru goes well beyond that, recruiting people into his harem voluntarily, allowing sympathetic people to pleasure themselves in the imagery: these parts are pornographic. Third, calling keyaru a villain. Many things can be called heroic in the name of revenge. This is reasonable, but there is some point when you have gone too far. Revenge needs to be enacted on the person that did the crime. Sometimes, it can be enacted against something the offender cares about, but this risks affecting bystanders. However, at the end of two of his revenges, he brainwashes his offenders into joining his harem. They were no longer the same people that hurt him, but he decided to continue manipulating them into sexual slavery for himself. And what about the men he brainwashed into performing rape. He did the same thing that was done to him, to people who had never hurt him, and is as guilty as the people that started the cycle. Yes, he's an anime protagonist. Yes he is a villain in pornographic material.
