It's fun when you realize that there are several points in that match where Hinata taking a week as a ball boy is the only reason why his team wins. As Coach Ukai said, don't underestimate what it takes to be a ball boy. And look around, what can you learn right now from your current situation that you couldn't anywhere else?
@Tikka143
@Tikka143 7 ай бұрын
I remember one of the first things Hinata wanted to do at the training camp was spike the ball when the coach was calling the players to do drills. I honestly think Hinata would have continued to put emphasis on his attacking skills than on his defensive skills had he not gone to the training camp. Lol, side note: When Hinata received Aran's spike I called him Shoyo for the first time without realizing it.

I watched haikyuu for first time around Christmas, it honnestly might be the most emotional an anime has made me feel for some reason, and also increased my motivation for volleyball that I lost after graduating school too. I think I gotta rewatch it lmao

The first time I saw Hinata's ball-boy arc I was in high school, I didn't really like it and kept wishing they'd cut back to what Kageyama was doing. But having seen it again last year, now in college and having done an internship, I kept thinking Hinata was awesome for forcing that chance and from learning so much from his new position. It also reminded me a lot of my own internship lol.

When Ukai says, "Don't underestimate what it takes to be a ball boy", the implication is more clear in Japanese, where he says, "ボール拾いナメンなよ?(Ball horoi namen na yo?)". "ball hiroi" is literally, picking up balls, but can be understood as "recieving" the ball. And, yes, it ends with a question mark, which to me expresses something like, "You're not going to underestimate what it takes to 'pick-up' the ball, right?" (Just happen to be reading through the series for the first time in Japanese, in prep for this years Haruko)

It's mainly laziness probably, but those videos are nearly always so interesting. Story theme analisis is kinda hard actually and I often miss it in the stories like a child missing cars on the streets and fucking dying. It's so fun to see what the author was doing behind what he was doing and learn from it but I usually can't. Personal perspective is often very welcome too as it teaches even more

I love this idea so much. I currently have a law teacher who pretty much makes fun of me during every mock trial meeting to the point that i dont like speaking in the same room as her, and I used people like hinata and asta from black clover as inspiration to keep moving forward. Now I realized that, that experience allowed me to become more independent- i gave up on expecting my law teacher to help me and then began getting help outside and putting the work in and now i have a law internship this summer, a thing that most people get in their senior year whereas im only a sophomore who is going into Junoir year after this summer. Not every horrible situation is purely bad :))

Your video comes at a time when I'm at yet another low in my life. I've had many of them this year, always about the same thing, but it's convenient that this video is the one that shows up which is exactly what I need to hear. I want to look better, I want to have a respectable profession, I want to be loved, I want to not be weird, etc. Hitting almost 30 and I hope this video sticks through me. I've been telling myself this all the time already but it's different when someone--even fictional--achieves things on sheer hard work.

I'm feeling a lot of built-up envy and a lot of dissatisfaction, but it's a constant up-and-down thing nowadays because the joyful bits of my college life would outshine the depressing thoughts at the back of my mind...sometimes. Like this video, I cope by thinking of my situation as a unique trajectory of my life and its convoluted parallel timelines. If things went my way back then, this current path I'm trekking on would be one that I could only have imagined. And isn't that exciting too? (But I hope that in every universe, the versions of me can all realize my goal: make money, live comfortably, and sustain my needs so that I'm healthy.)

This life lesson is so important. We never know which life experiences will be unknowingly beneficial for us in the future. In my case, I did an internship at a place that was very loosely, and barely related to what I was studying at uni, years later, I land my first job at that place, thanks to not only that previous experience but to my own choice of study path after I finished uni. That event that looked like a missed opportunity, ended up being a golden one.

I really needed this video today. I’m working to get on my school’s dance team. I don’t have enough money to pay for lessons, I haven’t practicing for long, and I’m generally at a disadvantage compared to everyone else. I’m kind of scared to tryout this year, since one of my friends tried out last year, and didn’t make it, but her turns are amazing. Turns are my weakest point, and i’m sure my technique is awful, but if all of Haikyuu has taught me one thing, it’s that eating right, and practicing, and remembering that it’s okay to take breaks? That’s still dance. Watching as my friends get better and better at things I still can’t do well? That’s still dance, because eventually, i’ll get there. Right now, I just need to keep working hard, and do the best i can with what i have, because when you think about it, it’s not bad to be a self-taught dancer. It just gives me a little challenge. And i love a challenge.

Bro, first of all I wish you good luck! Ive been watching/reading this anime for the 3 time now. I will make 1 year i first saw it. Felt like it wasnt for me and left it for 4 days until i got the will to go and start the 2 season (ended up binge watching the rest. Was also the 1 manga i finished). I was a perfect timing and I felt in love with volleyball. Wanted to play so bad but I had a small tumor on my leg so I was still recovering. As soon as i got told I could do sports i got into it and played with the female team just like hinata cause my college is the only one that does not have a male team ( hope that this year i can make one with 3 other friends) I just read the nekoma match today and almost cried for simple things. When sugawara said that he had lost count of how many balls did hinata dig / save. When old ukai extended his hand as the new ukai shaked nekomata senseis hand. Dont know where im going with this but i recommend haikyuu to every person around me. My girlfriend got.me the volume 31 ( kita backstory) i got so much from this series and im grateful. Just loved this. If anyone resd all this: Keep up the good work bro, take it easy and believe in yourself. ❤

Haikyu season 4 frustrates me on some levels, but I do appreciate the character growth. I could see when Hinata started as ball boy where the arc was going; how it forced him into the observer position, the observer of some great players. Like Sugawara being so instrumental in the 2nd Aoba Johsai game by his observations, Hinata gets to learn by watching. And we see him actively trying to learn how to read plays so that he can predict where the ball is going, and this carries over into the start at Nationals where he is trying to gauge the ball's path and has some humorous misses. Some of the other players are laughing at Hinata's mistakes, but Nishinoya recognizes what Hinata is doing and does not discourage Hinata (Nishinoya might encourage him, I do not recall an actual scene or moment in the anime). And later we have some magnificent payoffs to Hinata's hard work (fueled by drive and humility).

gotta keep it a buck people work hard and have dreams, do their thing everyday but that really doesn't mean your dreams will come true, I think it's pretty rare for someone to get what they want in the end and it's not because they didn't work hard enough or stick to it. I'm an artist, I've dreamed about being something since I was a kid, now I'm 29, all the work I've done it means nothing, I haven't gotten any reward for it, all the years I sacrificed for it and I'm stuck doing manual labor jobs with nothing. To make it all worse I've even lost passion for this and find it hard to just do it everyday out of discipline. lifes not an anime where you just work hard and get rewarded.

HI! I'm a new subscriber to the channel and I really appreciate your content. Having said this, I would like to give my opinion on the subject: it is true that feeling behind is often wrong, because everything arrives at the right time in the right place BUT unfortunately this does not apply in every field... I think. Speaking for myself, I have been training my whole life and only discovered my true dream 3 years ago. the problem? I am currently 26 years old, and already 3 years ago for me... to enter a sport at a competitive level... it was too late. So I am essentially trapped in a life of stalemate, where I will never truly be able to realize my dream.

I spoke about this a bit in my previous video, and whilst true, you might end up surprised at where you are in 5 years and how much what you're going through helped you - I was in a similar situation and it ended up that way

@@LessonsFromAnime Hey, thanks for your very quick response! Right now I'm catching up on your videos, also because I've noticed that you tend to cover topics often related to spokon and being an Italian athlete I find them even more interesting. I really hope that the discipline and commitment I have put in over the years will make sense, also because being told at 23 that you are too "old" to realize your dreams is simply brutal.
