In the anime, Goku tricked Freeza into thinking he would be brought back to life with the Earth dragon balls, knowing full well that they don't bring back previously dead people. (For a 2nd time) That's some genius right there. It's not as fleshed out in the manga, sadly. Edit: Alright so look Goku doesn't flat out trick Freeza here. But he does let him dig his own grave, as Freeza wants to specially use the Earth dragon balls to resurrect himself. Goku doesn't bother to correct him either. GT goku when he's an adult is the most mature version of the character. I genuinely enjoyed how they treated Goku and Vegeta's character. Original dragon ball to GT seems like a natural character progression. In battle of god's I was fine with Goku being 'relaxed' after beating foes like majin buu but super completely butchered his character for me. Him not knowing what a kiss is or looking surprised when Vegeta was trying to meditate. Goku knows what meditation is. He's been doing it since forever. They are introducing things Goku already know or atleast should know canonically should know. They absolutely killed one of my favourite characters. MUI isn't going to work because how will you make interesting battle scenes if he always avoids getting hit. It wouldn't ve interesting anymore. Super Had it's moments but it's a shame it could've been better. Same with GT. Both Super and GT weirdly complement each other. One is good were the other is bas and vice-versa.
