I fully enjoyed this story and put it on my permanent re-watch list. It definitely gave of a mix of all those big name stories. I actually found that to make it even more endearing of a story for me. While I had no idea it was done by same author as DanMachi it really is no real surprise to me. It is a good thing and a proven fact that if an artist is good enough most of the the time you want to seek out their work because you know you will enjoy their style of art. Same principle as with the food we eat and other activities we do. If you love it, then stick with it. Several other stories I enjoy are specifically ones I sought out due to being done by the same artist. I look forward to how the rest of the story unfolds in due time.

Best way to get people to follow Wistoria is have them watch the first episode, those cool goggles Will uses, the great animation and then adorable ED. I was hooked going in blind, only later learned about author and read the manga. A great fantasy world setup and action!!

The animation in Wistoria is fantastic. I usually don't care much about visuals as I'm a story guy but this one was enjoyable even if you hit mute. But I love the MC. He's so much deeper than Bell. And, thankfully, the author hasn't told me who he will end up with romantically as was done with Dan Machi (a bizarre choice I still don't get as the story should tell itself naturally). I love the world building, again deeper than Dan Machi (which I have enjoyed S1-4 and the LN and SO LNs). But Wistoria feels like a richer story. And the manga so far has me hooked too. But the dungeon time at end of S1 is probably some of my favorite action of any anime.

I actually like Wistoria better than DanMachi. They're both good, but I found myself really loving the story in Wistoria.

Because it's got deeper characters, unique world building (as opposed to using all the gods of our world), using the student setting in an interesting way. I've rewatched Dan Machi S2-4 many times (yes, I'm a Ryuu fan), but this is simply a better story all-around and better visuals. I've decided since the author told us how Dan Machi will end I've checked out of the story now. This one I really don't know how it will end and the author has kept his mouth shut about the topic. It's not surprising that this is better as he is a more mature author.

Wistoria is stupid. At least mashle embraces it and it's a comedy. The premise of wistoria is delulu, oh you want to become a doctor in a medical school but your skill is engineering. Danmachi's primary goal is being a hero inspired by the story of his grand father and romance being number 2 while wistoria's goal is simping. Well this is just my take on watching and dropping wistoria after ep.1.

One the grand father thing ur talking about, he is not his real grand father by blood, and Bells whole life goal is to chase Ais, that's the same leveling of simping as Wistroria, tell me u don't get the point of DanMachi with out telling me! ur trying to down play Bells love and romance for Ais while thats the main goal in Bell's life.... Don't let ur blind hate for a show twist facts plz, be better!

I honestly love this series i love danmachi too but in my opinion elfaria is so much better of a character and the love interest than ais in danmachi im excited for season 2 and for what it will bring and as for will's roommate rosty theres a secret about him that i wont spoil unless someone is super curious

I was under the impression that Rosty's "secret" was just a hypothesis/rumor. Many talk about it, but I never found any serious facts. Good hypothesis none the less and I got to admit I'm kinda rooting for it :P

@1202Sid right ive heard people say it gets heavily pointed out in the manga especially when they thought rosty died I've been wanting to read the manga and see for myself I just haven't had the time to start yet lol though with the hints that I've heard of I'd be surprised if it wasn't true 😅

@@clancyfairchild3400 There is no doubt something is going on with Rosty and a clear link. I'm not convinced the rumor is the only explanation though. I feel the hints are circumstantial at best (even in the manga), so there is no way to exclude other options. I am wary to jump to conclusion yet. And again I do admit to root for the rumor. It's kinda romantic 😊

Agree. It's a more mature (not age, quality) story. In Dan Machie and Sword Oratario he has never written Ais to where I want her to be the end goal romantically. The author just decided Ais is the end, told us, but then wrote far better love interest especially in Haruhime and Ryuu. Wistoria, we get the deep connection between Will and Alfaria, and her genuine affection and concern for him. But also her difficult role in universe. And if in the end Will doesn't end up with Elfaria, I'll be okay with that assuming he writes a good narrative reason. Think it helps that Will is 17 or 18, and has worked a job, lived life. Bell is 14!!! When a gorgeous powerful girl saves your life, of course she becomes your focus. But it's such an immature "love" because Bell is 14. So, the author set himself up better by having an older and more mature protagonist whose connection to Alfaria is more then beauty or power. It shows development in author's writing that is obvious going back to early SO or DanMachi volumes.
