There is a cool pun that's lost to translation. 散人 pronounced 'San Ren' is translated to 'unspecialised class' but the character 散 means scattered/dispersed and 人 meaning person and so YeXiu's character name alludes to him being scattered from his original team. There is another character in Chinese also pronounced 'San' 伞, which means umbrella so 'San Ren' sounds like Umbrella Man - coincidentally the weapon he uses.

I’m enjoying this but WTF happened to the episode after the car commercial? At about 2:50:00 the subtitles are all wonky. I have no idea what is being said. Still watching the subtitles aren’t lining back up. Looks like the episode is fucked.

Again?! The stupid car commercial happens again and the following episode’s subtitles are fucked again. It was the last episode too for the season. I’ll need to find this show somewhere else, one that pay attention to the subtitles. You just can’t enjoy it when all the talking is scrambled.

A lot of subtitles were not translated and I couldn’t understand them as the story is tweaked in the animation than in the light novel. Just could guess what was going on based on the scenes.

i love the series, but always felt irked knowing that his original team mates didn't want Ye playing a game that is widely known too practically everyone. so he got booted from a team? Big whoop, let the man play in peace XD

It was more a mix of the ambitions of the #2 guy, his teammates not playing as well as they could, and management being fickle that caused him to get dropped from the team. His retirement story doesn't really get completely told in the adaptations like the anime and live action.

Its just how some people are to them games are nothing more than a means to an end a way to make money and nothing else I get having bills to pay and being used to a certain lifestyle and all that but of you don't truly love what you do and only love what it can bring you you won't he happy that's soemthing I learned from experience and I tell ya having a job I don't absolutely hate and am happy with going to every day is just the best feeling in the world sure it's not 100% perfect but the pros outweigh the cons and IL takr this job right now over any other job I've had

Can someone explain why in all the sub's for episode 4, one of the character says "(Chinese words)CRY" BUT The subtitles don't translate it right and just have "Oh, Poor Thing"... Like, someone who understands Chinese explain why the subs are so different from what's being said?
