The beast village getting raided is the first major difference between the lightnovel and the webnovel. Eris training the catgirl in swordfighting is anime original, their friendship was in the web and lightnovel but not focused upon as much.

I think the anime will adapt volume 7 of the lightnovels. The anime is said to follow the lightnovel version of the story so it'd be weird if they didn't. If the anime covers 6 volumes for the next season as well it would also leave the story at a nice endpoint after the labyrinth arc. Although I wouldn't mind if they took things a bit slower. There are rumors of a movie as well, which might adapt volume 7 or possibly the Fitts sidestories.
