I heard Toriyama liked Dragon Quest: the Adventures of Dai (the TV animated version) and was inspired to do Daima. Can't confirm. But I know Toriyama was a big fan of Dragon Quest

Isn't her name based on the pansy flower, like how Glorio is based on the gloriosa flower? Pan is likely based on bread which is pan in some other languages

@@atomicmage6317 Yeah, but name similarities aside…Panzy fulfills the role of Pan in GT for the crew in a way. Goku is Goku. Shin seems to be a scaled down version of Trunks (levelheaded). And Panzy is meant to the the fun, comedic relief that will get herself in trouble, but will be useful in key moments. I still think Glorío here is either a villain in disguise or an anti hero with his own agenda. But that was my point. That the initial crew in this realm is very similar to the GT crew that went into space.

I actually think Supreme Kai's sister and Glorio are the true villians; and that they are pulling a Chancellor Palpatine and Count Dooku. Secretly working together while being on opposite sides of the conflict. The whole Gomah vs Goku and Gomah vs Panzy's father is all due to information Supreme Kai's Sister fed Gomah and what Glorio fed Goku; Supreme Kai, the others and Panzy's father. The entire conflict between Gomah and our heroes and their allies as all been from the seeds that Supreme Kai's Sister planted in Gomah and from the intel Glorio has fed to the heroes. Every time Goku attacks Gomah's guards it confirms to Gomah that everything Supreme Kai's Sister warned him about is true; while at the same time obviously wanting to defend himself from the threat of Goku; all the more guards, etc... Gomah throws at Goku only confirms what Glorio said was true; that Gomah is this evil tyrant that needs to be overthrown and stopped. Panzy's father in this episode even tells Supreme Kai and Goku that he is fighting Gomah and planning to overthrow him and bring peace to the demon realm based on the info Glorio told him about Gomah. My prediction is that when Goku and Co finally reach the 2nd demon world their ruler will mysteriously be missing. That's because Glorio and/or Supreme Kai's Sister is/are the ruler(s) of the 2nd demon world and that they are getting Panzy's father the ruler of the 3rd demon world and Gomah the ruler of the 1st demon world and the supreme ruler to battle each other and weaken each other.

@@BackDoorSlots9 Name one time Dragon Ball has ever made someone appear to the audience as a villain only for them not to actually be one? Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, GT, and Super have all shown the audience who was and who wasn't a villain. There was never as you suggest this whole swerve the audience by pretending someone is a villain when they actually aren't. Dragon Ball has never been that complex in it's plot.

Panzy asked which Demon Realm that Goku was from and Glorio said "The second." Then Panzy and King Kanda learned that Goku and Shin were from the outside world. Now, I feel like people will look too deep into Glorio's comment about Goku being from the Second Demon Realm. I believe that Glorio said that just to try and get Panzy off of their backs because he sees her as a nuisance and a hindrance to his plan and/or mission. I don't think that Goku and Saiyans coming from the Demon Realm is true.
