+Hereson Animenz practiced very aggressively focusing on his own ambitions regardless of what others thought and has had 16+ years of top of the class classical training. Its no wonder he is so talented. He put so much effort into what he does despite already essentially being a prodigy+having perfect pitch at a young age. He didn't just take his talent for granted like many people do. Like you know, showing it off and not making any advancements.

I love the paragraph where you say "Similar to my previous piano arrangements of Hiroyuki Sawanos compositions ..., you can go ALL out with the volume this time. Especially the section starting at 2:53 should be played in the most convincing forte fortissimo ever, the whole piano should be shaking at this point, and every listener should trembling with awe."

I started to learn this piece about 1.5 years ago and after 1 month of on and off practice I managed to play this piece ok-ish on 70% speed... and somehow no matter how hard I tried it always sounded messy. I realized that my skill was not high enough for this piece... a year later I came back to this piece and there was still no real progress... Only after I learned it by heart and many hours more I can now play it almost perfectly. What I learned from this piece is invaluable for my piano playing... After finishing this piece my skill made a huge jump up... Other "difficult" pieces suddenly became easy to play. This piece is currently my favourite piece of all time and the feeling you get when you play this with your balcony open is uncomparable. I wonder if my neighbours actually like this piece, since I already played it for almost 2 years^^

Normally you should have a good idea of what type of difficulty you would have learning any piece. If this is one of your first "difficult" pieces (difficult is a very relative term), then it will most certainly be difficult. Now as for "how" difficult, that depends on your approach and how much your practice. I think it will take roughly 60 to 70 hours of solid practice and memorization for a relatively new pianist (
@XDSome1XD8 жыл бұрын
Someone with less than 2 years practice can't learn this. If you want to play this well and fluent you will need a lot of practice even if you are really good (talented and 10+ years practice). Even Animenz probaly practices a lot for a piece like this. I mean most people with less than 2 years practice struggle with playing the hard part of für elise fluently. They definitly can't play somethingb like this, especially not in 60 to 70 hours.

This is absolutely godly. No piano cover except this one comes so close to the actual song. The off beat bass creates the drums that essentially powers the entire piece. And the slamming of the harmony in the right hand starting from 2:36 must be absolutely painful oh man. I know there’s skill in that to make it hurt less but Jesus that’s amazing. It’s hard to really get the full complexity of his pieces until u Iook at a synthesia and other attempts at his version, but once you see those... his hands are not from this world. This is simply a perfect transcription.

I have to say, when I glanced over the sheets last night, this arrangement looked rather ordinary (perhaps I've gotten too used to seeing complex 6-7+ page sheets from you). But as soon as I started listening, the rich bass line and catchy beat sucked me in immediately. Even though it seems rather simple on paper, the actual performance sounds much more complex, with a liberal use of contrasting motifs between hands and a resonating drum rhythm in the left hand. I thoroughly enjoyed this departure from your usual arrangement style. oh and POKEMON HYPE WOOHOOO #GottaCatchEmAll

+PaintAMelody I used a similar microphone setup as the video for my miiro - Kancolle OP cover, the microphones are moved much closer to the bass strings of the steinway grand piano than usual. Plus, I am using bit more force than usual to play forte (because it's hiroyuki sawano, lol), maybe that's why it sounds so crisp

Since this song doesn't have a lot of variety, I thought you were going to add your own little mix into it.. - similar to your "My Dearest" arrangement. But! For the most part at least, you stuck to the original. Both methods of playing have their uniqueness. I'm starting to like you sticking 85%+ to the original.. It keeps the arrangements more.. free. It gives players (of proper skill level) to take your.. template and change it as they wish. Your template being the arrangement advanced, but very close to the original. When you already remix the song yourself, it makes it more difficult for others to make their own spin-off. Awesome playing as always. I was very excited for this, because I knew you would be able to take a song without much to it, and turn it into a song with tons of articulation in the more subtle parts. Your playing includes A LOT of notes, but the way they are used makes the song more refined. Everything clicks together as you play, which is another big reason as to why I see you as an inspiration. It's brilliant, to say the least. I hope to see more sooner than later! *Realllyyyyyyy excited for the Pokemon OP. Nerded out when you mentioned it. I can't wait to see your take on it.*

Awesome cover! Sawano is indeed the best anime OST composer! Aliez, even though played as ed and and OST, is no an exception! Originally I was very busy working on assignments. But then I log onto KZbin and saw this! I instantly dropped my study and listened to this 3times! This really motivates me in my study and everything else I do! ======== I really like the repeating motifs. They are not muddy but they resonates clearly!The instrumental section in the middle sounds awesome! Recently, you style is more closely aligned with the original! I like it but at the same time, maybe you could add some original ideas like you did in the older arrangements, as in Euterpe, nagi no askua and few others that have special ending + classical runs. Man, I started watching your videos like in november and I cant stop watching them. You're the best and I swear after I started learning a few of your transpositions, I've become a better pianist and it has helped me with my "audition" type pieces. I also really appreciate that you make your sheets available. I love anime, keep doing what your doing because its the best.

ikr. Learning this right now, and the off-beat on the left hand is just unplayable for me (i have poor tempo management). Especially when Animenz decides to switch things up with a counterpoint like 1:48.

+1 Random_Chick but Ecbrd, I think this is "easier" than you can think, I mean it's harder for me to do fast arpeggios (like in "This Game" I currently work on) than this work on the left hand But this piece it's still a beast xD
