Much to my surprise kinda this is gonna have 25 episodes instead of the usual 13. Thank god bc I read the first chapter of this and I'm so happy it's gonna have more episodes than I thought. I checked the studio and it's studio OLM. The studio behind all the pokemon anime as well as Cardfight vanguard and Buddyfight, Lbx , Inazuma 11, Beyblade burst and so many more. So I'm hyped that we got a studio whose known for having long running shows under them. And honestly it's been a minute since I seen an actual horror type show first chapter was great and I just know they'll keep the momentum going Simmer anime 2023 we finally here.

Hardly feels scary tbh, because of how the humor is interwoven. Even the telephone booth bit or the shrine bit , they all felt only briefly spooky but not enough to scare. At least for me I guess. Maybe I've watched and read too much horror stuff. Lovecraft, Junji Ito etc.

Funny story: I originally checked the manga because I saw a cute loli on the cover page, and after reading the synopsis, I thought it must be the series about cute ghost waifu. So I read it and... HOLY NIGHTMARE FUEL SHIT!!!! Anyway, this series is not for the faint-hearted.

Eh you're exaggerating. For nightmare fuel this is barely enough to drive a mile on fumes. I am not saying it's bad but as far as scary stuff goes it didn't feel scary enough when I read it. But then I've been reading Lovecraft , Junji Ito for years now.

​@@blingbling2841it's different kinds of nightmare fuel. While Junji Ito does violently gory stuff too, it's mostly the horrifying absurdity and terror that makes his work, and Dark Gathering is on the "Actions" and "Backstories" of the various ghosts that make it nightmare fuel
