i literally just finished rereading the manga yesterday but this scene still makes me cry good job to ufotable's execution of this last episode also the powerful voices of the voice actors that definitely reached us, especially Hanae Natsuki who voices Tanjiro and Kito Akari who voices Nezuko 👏👏💗

I was crying the entire time from the moment she kicked Tanjiro and even after it showed she is still alive. How come some of these reactors kept a straight face during that moment? 😭

Tbh it's not hard to predict that Nezuko wouldn't have died, so there really wasn't much tension in this moment even with how well crafted it is. It is a shame in my opinion Nezuko dying would've provided Tanjiro an actual struggle with real lasting consequences and provide a much more intense story development as it would provide actual tension whenever the main three characters are in trouble as if they're willing to kill fan favorite Nezuko then they're willing to kill anyone. Kind of disappointed it didn't go that route but it was expected.
