In detail 23 the blade also chips because tanjiro wasn’t a master at water breathing or sun breathing yet. A detail in demon slayer states that swords chip all the time if the user doesn’t have mastery over their bring technique. An example is muichiro was at the sword smith village bc he created his breathing style and he hadn’t fully mastered his style. However you never see zenitzu is not shown ever getting a new blade or have issues with his blade getting chipped. This is supposed by the fact that zenitsu had mastered thunderclap and flash to the point that he could reach god-like speed. You would think that his blade would have had issues after the entertainment arc. Just something to think about.

The Boulder that Gyomei placed for his late friend wasn't the same one Tanjiro cut in half. Idk how you assumed this since the boulder Tanjiro sliced was placed by Urokoudaki. Which is exactly why Sabito, Makomo and the others appeared to help Tanjiro train. The rope is a japanese culture reference since it's used to tie spirits and or demons to a boulder. Hence why Sabito and the others disappear when Tanjiro cuts the rock in half.

Tanjiro's family aren't sun breather users. they were just close with Yuricci (dunno how to spell it) and he taught he family the movements that were adapted into a dance. Tanjiro's sci is an accident, but it does develop into a demon slayer mark during the entertainment district arc. Nobody knew Tanjiro could use sun breathing, They all thought it died off because nobody could learn it (as shown by the upper rank 1 demon) The sun mark on Tanjiro's mask was just a reference to his scar. (I've finished the manga)

The reason there was blood on Tanjiro's hand, was not because of him gripping his sword to do Hinokami Kagura. But rather him touching the wound on his abdomen from when the engineer stabbed him. If it were from him using Hinokami Kagura, then his entire fingers would be bloody, not just the tips.
