Animoog Z “Wireframe Plans” Preset Pack Silent Demo

A new preset pack called Wireframe Plans came out today for Animoog Z - Moog clearly still alive and kicking despite the sale to inMusic 😳. I do wish Moog app IAPs could be demoed like preset packs in Korg Module can. Moog also don’t put any video demos up, so the user often has to buy blind. In this case yours truly decided to take the hit and share the results with you fine people. I think the dollar price is around $5. To be honest, I find this preset pack a mixed bag, some are excellent, others are weaker, some very weak, in my opinion. What do you think? All presets were played using the onscreen Animoog keyboard. I do wish the keyboard showed the root note when scaled - as it is you have to check via the Scale tab, which gets a bit tedious. I would also appreciate an option for a bit of a longer Y axis on the keyboard. I didn’t add any external fx or processing , just a very subtle amount of reverb from Fab Filter Pro-R.
Animoog is an excellent synth though and there are some really great preset packs for it. Moog generally do put out excellent packs. I did a demo of their Dynamic Drones pack for Model D about a month ago:

Chime in in the comments, and please remember to like and subscribe if you find this video useful, can maybe even watch an ad or two for me. 😜 🙉Having had a relisten, here are some thoughts on individual presets: Good / Great ones, in my opinion: Aleph Icebreaker (love it) / Celluloid Arp / Dipper Blues / Distant Pulsar / Drawbar Water Slide / Italo Octave Bass / JPEG Tabla / Lunar Hammond / Marine Biologist (superb!) / Periphery Motion (good sound, but volume is so low) / Reappearing Comets (magical) / resArp / Shadow Organ / Spiral Hammond / Strange Pad / Tessier-Ashpool Foyer / Voyage to Andromeda (volume a bit low though). That makes 17 good ones, the rest are either a bit meh, or could be good with some adjustments to ADSR, volume etc. Some of these presets are bafflingly quiet. On the old Animoog, the y axis seemed to go all the way to the top of the screen. Just keep moving your finger up past the end of the key and see if that still works?

Yeah, bit of a disssapointing bunch this one, but I bought it specifically to let people have the chance to hear it. Some will like the sounds and appreciate the vid. Those who don't like the sounds should also appreciate, as I've just saved them $5 😂
