So I was asked one time what was it like living thru the 80's during my entire teen years, I replied.....AWESOME. The music will never be like that again. It seems the teens nowadays love to throw those 80's retro party's so they can dance to the best music from my teen days. When I talk to them about the cold war, they look at me like I'm from outer space. They do not have a clue how scary and close us and the Russians came to wiping out the world. Reagan years ruled.

The Cold War is generally defined as taking place from 1947 through 1991. Personally I think the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, for all practical purposes, marked the end of the Cold War.

+chronicfatigue Yes, the musicianship of the band is pretty stellar. You didn't miss that outro guitar solo though- this is an extended version. The original video didn't include that solo. 'I Wear My Sunglasses At Night' by Corey Hart is another one of those tunes. There's a longer version with a killer guitar solo in it.

+danh5150 Thanks for the Corey Hart suggestion, another one that I didn't realize there was a longer version. It's no surprise, though. That seemed to be a theme in the '80s, where the first thing to be cut to make a track radio or MTV friendly was the guitar solo.
