Marriage, or Vivaha, is considered a sacred union and one of the most significant samskaras (rituals) in a person's life. It is viewed as a partnership not only for procreation but also for pursuing dharma (righteousness), artha (wealth), and kama (pleasure) within a moral framework. Rig Veda: Marriage is celebrated as a sacred bond blessed by divine forces. The Rig Veda describes marriage as a partnership where the couple supports each other in fulfilling spiritual and worldly duties. "May you two, united in harmony, speak with one voice and act with one purpose." (Rig Veda 10.85)
