I'm from Tamilnadu. I lived and worked as a doctor in the U.S. for more than 40 years. I'm retired now and living in India. I wanted a leader like Modiji in Tamilnadu. When Annamalai came in to Tamilnadu politics , I was wondering how can a young ex IPS officer do to fight the corrupt and incompetent DMK. But very soon I am pleasanty surprised at his phenomenon rise in Tamilnadu politics. He is young, intelligent, articulate, dynamic and courageous. He has inspired a lot of people , both young and old to join his cause in some ways. He is God's answer to our prayer for an honest and selfless leader. May God Bless him with good health and long life.

Being a person from Tamilnadu who has seen all the atrocities of the Dravidian parties, I personally am heavily indebted to this gentleman Annamalai. I'm from jharkhand, my first interaction with thalaiva annamalai was during my medicine days in Manipal karnataka where he was posted as superintendent of police in 2012-2013. I and my friend were on a bike going back home after our evening clinical postings at our trauma and emergency center at around 12 am night. I was riding the bike without a helmet. He was on a round in his maruti gypsy with other police officers. Observing interactions with the police officers and sorry and begging from our side He came out of the gypsy, asked us where are we from, what we do etc, he politely said, that he appreciates and thank us for our service but he and the rest of the cops are doing their jobs, enforcing law, and that the fine that is being levied on us is a lesson for us to not be on the other side of the river where all illegal activities are swept under the carpet. 100 rupees was what he fined us with a proper physical challan. This incident changed me forever and I've never riden a bike without a helmet consciously remembering him. I request my Tamil brothers and sisters to give this guy a chance. He's "different ". He's not a larger than life phenomenon, he's just an average grounded person like you and me, the rest of us. I know in my consciousness that I'll vote him for the prime minister of India in the future and hope with all my good wishes that that day comes soon. He's the CM PM material in all aspect.

I'm from Karnataka . When he had IPS service and served in my state I was very much proud of him being ethical, dynamic and a person who can bring good change in the corrupted fields like mafia , drugs , rapes , robbery or any antisocial activities. I was very much admired by his actions. Like wise when he quit service, including myself many of karnataka people were upset he took the wrong decision or like we felt like we lost a gem . But wanted him to remain in our state to bring more good changes in whatever fields he choose to live . But suddenly he move to Tamilnadu to join BJP political party . Then we thought he could join from here too remain in Karnataka . But now I wonder what myself by watching this podcast is , I'm wrong by my thoughts thinking that he should remain here . I have been waiting to see this interview for many days . I am very happy - he improved a lot in his response and in English. He can do some extent in Kannada also. He never hesited to answer the questions, he will be successful because he creates confidence among the common people. Real leader for Tamil nadu. I binged watched Annamalai's interviews and Ted Talks and anything else I found on KZbin. He is the real deal. Big fan, Love from Mizoram. We broke our traditional political bonds and voted ZPM with immense hope, TN should do the same. I’m having tears of joy after watching this video. Born in Chennai and after having lived a few decades abroad I have a lot of fondness for TN. Annamalai is a Avtar Purush, who is blossoming exactly at a time when TN needs such a leader. He’s such a breath of fresh air as a politician - very smart, honest, purpose-driven, strategic and skillful while truly understanding the history of TN and an uncanny ability to connect with the national scene when the time comes. For far too long TN politics has been corrupt, casteist, narrow minded, regional, and dynastic. The state deserves so much more and he’s the right leader at the right time! Tamilians have accomplished so much outside the state and in the world. He will and could help the state’s residents and help TN regain its glory. Wishing him well in everything he does. Bravo Modiji for recruiting and nurturing such amazing talent!! Very impressed with Smita Prakash for another awesome interview - am a fan of her journalistic skill and integrity!
