Old Jammu station ( in derelict condition ) stills exists on the Right Bank of River Tawi. When , broad gauge railway line was built by India to Jammu , the new Railway station ( on the Left Bank of the River Tawi ) was named Jammu Tawi

Good and successful trial of this section. Now Chief Railway Safety Commissioner (CRS) will conduct the trial of the rail line, and the facilities on all the railway stations falling on the route. Only then the route will be declared safe for running regular trains for public.

When , broad gauge railway line was built by India to Jammu , the new Railway station ( on the Left Bank side of the River Tawi ) was named Jammu Tawi . ( Jammu is on the banks of river Tawi )
