At 17:35, sir said we took nitrogen molecules from urea and coated them with plant based polymer. But we were taught that plants absorb nitrates not nitrogen . So the question is how nitrogen is absorbed directly by plants. If anyone knows the answer please reply.

It absorbs both ammonium and nitrate. Urea degrades in ammonia and nitrate subsequently by bacteria in soil

It is woeking.. Firstly don't go it as 100% alternate.. first u give Basal dose in soil and then use it.. besides, plants need 17 nutrition and Nano Urea and DAP only cover 2 nutrition viz Nitrogen and Phosphorous..

It does not work because bag wala urea works even in soil for few days after application. Nano urea works just for one time

Bro I am also a farmer I used nano urea and dap I suggest you use nano urea+ dap in large leaf plants compared to cereals I found great results for using nano in my vegetables big fruit trees like mango , guava, papaya banana etc Just use slightly larger leaf plants it is cheaper and environment friendly and easy to Carry 😊

Urea is unnecessarily maligned. It is an organic chemical. When applied to soil, the soil bacteria proliferate, using it as a source of C as well as of N. Increased number of micro-organisms in the soil leads to increased soil fertility.

😂 then why is soil carbon decreased over the years of usage of Urea? Why would fertility of soil be decreasing across India after usage of the Urea? Soil health which remained good for 1000s of years has now completely depleted in last 50 years after green revolution?

Nano fertilizers can be used as complimentary alongside application of solid fertilizers like urea etc. This fertilizer is sprayed on atleast 2 months old crop having sufficient foliage. So nano can't substitute solid fertilizers like urea but definitely good as complimentary fertilizer. .

The conversation was good & helpful. Applying nano fertilizer using sprayer is difficult on large scale, but drones are a good solution, however there should be drone facilities in all villages on cooperative arrangement

To do large scale spray by drones, we need 2 months old crop having sufficient foliage to hold the sprayed urea. Till then, you need to apply solid urea to save the crop from starvation and to attain higher crop production.

We like to invest and start farming like in a small affordable way in 30-40 site or in terrace farming. 1. How to learn to grow and market from home? 2. How to find and employee a trust worthy farmer for supporting if farm land is in remote places.

Organic farming is sustainable and healthy... but considering the famine at the period of independence, it was necessary focus more on quantity than quality to save people from starving.. instead of criticising Green revolution , we should migrate gradually towards Organic farming.. We have more than 85% farmers having land less than 2 hectare. They need higher production per unit of land to sustain lively hood. So not much scope for organic farming in our country .

Forest land is decreasing and farm land is decreasing too..Take for an example of Rohtak,all the land around city was farmland fee years ago but now most of that land is with builders, shopping malls,resorts,colledges etc

The discourse is very impressive and thought provoking. It is educative in effect. But the issue of soil health is still not fully explained. A shift from granular urea to Nano urea will never improve the soil health, which is deteriorating year after year and is a major cause of concern for sustainability and profitability of Indian agriculture. We must look for using organics and biologicals for improving soil microbial mass and soil vitality. Yes, use of Nanourea can possibly result in lowering the amount of urea being applied to soil today. But why are we not talking of using simple urea through foliar spray. Analytical grade urea can prove very efficient in improving nitrogen assimilation and nitrogen use efficiency in crop production. It is still not common to find common farmers, who prefer to use Nanourea in their crops in many areas in the country. There is lack of scientific consensus on the efficacy of Nanourea, as we see in research papers. Therefore, more research is needed to fully understand the effects of Nanourea in crop production, including long-term food safety issues. Nevertheless, the discussion is very convincing in many ways with regard to future requirements of Indian agriculture and the common farmers. Thanks for sharing the podcast, Congratulations, Madam ! I'm certainly not criticizing IFFCO or any of the dignitary member or efforts of them, but recently there were news articles quoting a study mentioning that nano-urea led to decrease in yield and protein content etc. Is it for real? A bit Cynical about its implication by-large.

Nano urea is good if used in addition to soil application of solid urea at the sowing time. Therefore, Nano fertilizer use should be recommended as complimentary in addition to soil application of solid urea.

Previously I had respect for ANI . This interview is staged to highlight the man, product and company. Clearly no one thought of questioning why Some Universities ( PAU) state that nano urea caused loss of yield. Nano urea is NO miracle just another foliar fertiliser . No one questioned how One 500 ml bottle = 45 kg bag of Urea.?Why it was not asked why such a great product like Nano has to be linked with urea for sale to farmers in the country. I did think that anchors and Interviewers did homework . This podcast is just glorification of product / Advt./ PR activity of Manufacturers .
