This anime is about the exploiting of working people basically, and how "middle management" use the excuse of them, when they were a worker, also get exploits during their youth, to justify that they also have the right to exploits current workers and protect the right to exploits of nowadays workers by their employer. Meanwhile workers are being coerce into doing the works of three peoples, while getting the salary of 1 person, with the output quota of three peoples, in the time limits of 1 person, so the companies can maximize profits, maximize workers output, while cutting back on "expense" such as workers pension, workers salary, workers medical cares to further maximize profits for investors and shareholder even higher. And if the company make abundance profits, the company fires half of it's workforces, and scares the rest of the still employs workers into working twice as hard, or having the hordes of unemployed workers ready to take their jobs, do more works for less paid, benefits. Remind me of modern day Vietnam, the primitive nation that idolizes exploitation as "progress" and the state protect the right to exploits workers by multi-national investors. Although the MC in this story is also like the middle management, who exploits other workers the first chances he got, and got the positions of a new higher middle management. So basically the MC is a libertarian, who advocates for personal achievement and exploitation of other as a mean to advances personal achievement.
