The thing I liked about Astra was that it actually gave you an ending. Most shows just sort of stop after the climax... this one gave an entire episode of what happened to the characters and how their futures will play out. Pretty much every show could take a queue from this an actually write an ending lol
@deleteduser86522 жыл бұрын
that's because the other ones most likely promotes their manga/ lightnovel/ visual novel. They can't just adapt the entire thing if it is too long. :/ (they could only if it got popular since budget would exist)

Remember that most of this started as manga or light novels with no ending yet. So the anime is used as a promotional tool for the manga/light novel. If they made an anime on a completed manga, like Record of Grancrest War, then yea, you'll see an ending in the anime.
@yummychips_2 жыл бұрын
some one said it already, but ill elaborate more. Most anime is just a commericial to sell the source material. Animes that don't have a source material, still often get treated as if they would get another season. I believe even Astra lost in space, was from a LN. It is a stand alone LN IIRC. Those LNs don't have dozens of books, just 1 to a few. Like Akira the movie, if you read the manga, it isn't that much different. It ends, very tidy. I think a lot of people who watch anime, just don't realize how expensive it is to produce 1 episode. It can range from 100k to 1 million per episode. Anime simply can't make that money back, even with advertisements and dvd/blu-ray sells. Anime is almost always an investment that goes on a lost. That is why most end with cliff hangers, so people will go buy from the source, and get involved with the merch. There have been failure animes that basically bankrupted the author or creator. OPM 2nd season was like that. The 1st season was great, but when he launched the manga and merch, it did not sell well enough to cover his loan on the 1st season anime. He took a massive gamble with a 2nd season. Lucky for him, OPM manga got picked up by a big publisher.

Actually, Among Us is basically game form of this anime. Since this anime came out much much earlier than Among Us did. Also there's a few anime every once in a while where the concept is; "One of us is a killer. The rest, suspicious of who it is." Since this is the one in space, it gets related to among us a lot so I just wanna make it clear that Among Us if anything, is inspired by this. Not the other way around. Special emphasis on; 'If anything'.

You can rationalize it like this, it was illegal and all those people even the king has enemies that will exploit a weakness like blatant violation of the law of this magnitude and the biggy of "THE ATTEMPTED MURDER OF THERE CHILDREN. So even though there enemies may be as bad as them, by exploiting this violation of this level, ended good. Also I imagine there are enough good people that would just let something happen. Like when theybsent the message, everyone found out, if done said hey let's blow this ship up, someone if going to whistle blow or disobey like that Russia that saved us from nuclear holocaust. haven't watch the anime nor was it ment to that deep by If we put some realism on it, I would bet a bunch people got assassinated soon there return to cover things up. So basically politics. Don't get me wrong there are a lot fked up ish that happen in today's world but king Leopold couldn't do the same ish he did 100 years ago to day.

So the parents all made clones of themselves to basically extend their lives/achieve immortality and when they feared they'd be found out their best method of hiding what they did was to just send them to their deaths in space? It sounds like in this alt history the Cuban Missile Crisis ended badly. I believe that happened in 1962, and with the video also mentioning Cuba the inference is obvious. Now that really was a turning point in history, where the world actually might have ended in nuclear war. It makes a lot of sense for that to be the spark of WWIII in this story.

Funny, I thought about one scene from that show just today: When Kanata takes down that bag snatcher he uses a special move and wants to announce it like super heroes usually do, but because he is nervous he messes up the words, and instead of the actual name Ultimate Divebomb he yells Untimid Diebomb. After returning the bag to Aries she calls him Mr. Diebomb several times, even though he had introduced himself to her properly. I liked this show very much, it was much better than I expected. Unfortunately I currently can't find it available where I live, I really would like to rewatch it.

During my second binge of this last year, my word-scrambling brain realized something: all the planet names are anagrams of the English words representing each planet's primary "personality" for the episode. Mcpa = Camp Vilavurs = Survival Shummoor = Mushroom Arispade = Paradise Icriss = Crisis Mealg = Gleam And that's in the original Japanese version, the names weren't changed for English localization.
