I know. It's not even "adult content". Most of the music they put out is still in adolescent mode. It's not mature. Prince's "The Beautiful Ones" sounds more mature than what these artists do now and he was 22 years old when he made that record.

Same here. Loved this cut and the album Rapture when it came out. But I think tonight was the first time in a decades I'd seen this video. What brought me here was seeing Anita for the first time in concert during her farewell tour in Philadelphia in December 2019. Seeing her sing Same Ole Love took me back to my 20s when her album Rapture was released in 1986. (I'm now 60.) Every cut on Rapture was great in my opinion of course. In my eyes Rapture is up there with Earth, Wind and Fire's That's the Way of the World (released 1975). All the songs on both LPs had spiritual components. And as Anita said during her concert tonight, singing about love doesn't always mean love for a romantic partner. Anita told the audience her songs can express love for a friend, relative, parent, sibling, or God. She's right!!

My Brooklyn mom spent a childhood going to see so many Motown shows, James Brown and even volunteered at a first booth for the duration of the Woodstock concert. She once hung out with Bob Dylan and so on and so on. Needless to say, my home was filled with music from day one. Even as I listened to rock, heavy metal, hip hop and pop, I remember her playing the Rapture album on a loop and I was hooked. Anita is still to this day one of my favorite female singers. She’s so talented, the songs never get old or tired. Unbelievable

Still a great song in 2024! You go Anita!!!! We love you!!! Love her skating in this video, very talented artist! Thank you for posting and sharing. Nothing wrong with the video quality, at least it's posted on You Tube, that's all that matters. Some Anita videos are difficult to post without them getting shot down for copyright, believe me I know! If that's the case, VEVO should get the rights to post in good quality, that'd be nice, wouldn't it?

This was my mom’s weekend music, and my memories of it were running errands, cooking, cleaning and asking me 20x if I’m working on my homework and got my uniform pressed. 😂🤣 I wonder what my kid’s weekend memory gonna be? 😂

Momma passed away on 1-10-18 from Pancreatic cancer, which is so merciless, to be with our Lord Savior, I have been singing Anita since the age of 3years old, even doing her little side to side dance that would crack my momma up. I will always cherish Anita's music because of the beautiful memories I had with momma singing Anita songs to her, she loved when I would sing them. I am now 37 and I tell everyone that has a mother still alive don't take one minute for-granted. I have lots of video and pictures of momma to keep me going along with my faith. I had a wonderful life with momma. I am Truly thankful to God that he gave me such a remarkable mother, she is my hero and best friend, despite all her pain in the end she kept smiling till her last breath, she was the strongest person I knew. She did so much for students and the community. Her faith was so strong even though she went through alot with cancer. Spend as much time as you can with your loved ones because life is definitely short, riparadise mommy, God Bless-April

Anita does not belong on skates any more. At least I don't want to try catching her when she falls. Her voice, however, is probably better than ever.

A great song, melody, and arrangement to frame the amazing and beautiful voice of Anita Baker, clear yet smoky and velvet. Sophisticated and sensual. The syncopation of “365 Days of the year” got me the first time heard it back then and is still so catchy and extremely cool in my book. Definitely a classic R&B and Soul song.
