Hello. You asked about the chameleon inks; apparently it is brighter shimmer than the normal kind for diamine and the colour of the shimmer changes depending on the angle/light. I hope that helps to answer some of the confusion. Enjoy how you do your ink sample writing and your thoughts on them too.

I really like all of them except how the sky blue TWSBI was performing. If I had to pick I'd say the Hongdian M2 (love the brightness of the pen and ink and how it performed) and the cobalt Estie with the stub nib. I love a good stub and that was wonderful to use. The Estie stub nib put it above the meduim nib pens!

Thank you for the video. That Leonardo MZG is beautiful! And yes, you need a. Bottle of Tranquility (don't we all?!). It's my favorite teal/turquoise.

Chromoshading or Chameleon ink is a type of shimmer ink that changes color depending on the angle of the light. It shifts color when the page is tilted. It doesn’t always show that way for me. I think it depends on the paper and nib size used. I enjoyed the video!

Yes - the paper, too! Thank you so much for explaining; I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

Love that you do updates on your pen and ink combinations. Can you compare the size, comfort of writing, and overall quality of the Leonardo furore and esterbrook esties?
@anitaanglin6 күн бұрын
For me, the writing experience is very similar. The grip section on the Leonardo Furore is slightly narrower (milk bottle shaped) than the Estie but the difference doesn't affect the long writing sessions for me. I'll talk about it in my next video - the Furore (and a different Estie) will be inked!

Nice collection. One of r my pen coals for 2025 is a Pelikan M series. Struggling to determine if it should be an 800, or a 1000 and can’t decide if I want a medium or fine nib. Good problem to have. Thanks for the video.

I love my M800 - it's such a wonderful writer and feels good in the hand. I was struggling with the same choice but the Fountain Pen Day sale on the M800 was amazing at Atlas Stationers so that's the model I chose for now. Eventually I'll get the M1000. I love how that one feels in the hand, too!
