I use pegboards in my alterations shop and they work great! I did have the trouble early on of the hooks popping out, but I came up with a hack that solved the problem. If I was starting out I would definitely order the MADD Dog hooks, and I love their baskets! To fix the problem go to your hardware store and look for clear plastic tubing that is sold by the foot. There is a size that squeezes perfectly on to the ends. Cut into about 3/8 inch pieces and push over the ends that go into the holes. Then when you slip them in they will not pop out.

Thank you for this, I just had my basement renovated for my craft room and I had one wall that I can put a peg board on, so this is so helpful. My contractor said he would paint and frame the peg board for me so I cant wait to get it back and now I have to order the pegs. Love your new pegboard! I don’t know what I’d do without mine. Love the paper towel holder. So many uses! Adding your personal touches really makes your board beautiful. You’ve given me some great ideas on a few modifications to make. I’m short so all my cutting tools and most used tools have to be on the bottom. Mine is 4 x 8 and still not big enough 😊
