latino is a generalizer term used by USA to define people who live souther than them in the americas. it has to do with the latin language derived languages (spanish, portuguese, french..) so as brazilians we speak portuguese and live in south america so that would make us latinos - but not "hispanic" which is another term used to talk about almost all other south american countries and their people who speak spanish, like colombia - where maluma is from. there are some brazilians who dont like to be included as latinos tho but i personally couldnt care less

European people are not usally called by that, because of the different culture and lifestyle. But if an european person call himself of latin (in termes of the speak), it's ok, but the expression "latino" reffers to latino america and its culture.

Maluma is from Colombia. A Latino(a) is any one that is from a Spanish speaking country. Sometimes Brazil, Italy, and France are included, even though they don't speak Spanish. But, their language is of Latin origins. Anitta us from Brazil; therefore, her mother tongue is Portuguese. Anitta speaks three languages: Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Maluma speakes Spanish and English. Spanish being his native language. People from Spanish speaking languages are also called Hispanic. The new generation of Latinos that also speak English are called Latinx.

Actually, Brazilians are not considered Latinos once they don’t speak Spanish language and also the culture are completely different from the Latin countries (colombia, Argentina, paraguai, venezuela, mexico.... and the others). So, Brazil is the only country inside the South America that speaks portuguese. In USA, for example, they never call brazilians as a latino... latinos are latinos and Brazilians are Brazilians... but, for all the spanish countries inside South America they use to say that the Brazilians are Latinos once we have a “similar “ life style and hot blood (If u know what i mean).. For us Brazilians, we don’t care... but, we can say that our culture is completely different to the others... reason why almost all the europeans and Americans don’t consider us as a Latin. Actually, i don't think our culture is that much different from hispanic american countries and, besides this, the prejudice that hispanic and brazillian americans suffer in united states and europe, for example, it's basiclly the same. We're as latinos as people who speaks spanish in america, because Brazil is also in america latina, according to the google. We (latinos) need to be together and fight against the prejudice, but if an especific brazillian person doesn't consider himself as latino, what can we do, right?

I’m don’t consider myself latino and all the brazilians that i know as wel... i live many years out and i can say that in territory that Brazil is situated, yes we are, but we are not latin in culture... i work with Argentinos, Venezuelas, mexicos and colombians and all of then also things the same. I say that because i've already see many brazillian people say that they felt treated the same way as an hispanic person when they went to europe and united states (like these girls kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX6qpnibedGglac ). Besides, i know that there's a lot of people who feel ashamed to say their naticionality and they say that they're not latinos because of that, but i don't think thats your case. João Marcos yeeah, perfect! I’m proud to say that I’m Brazilian and not latino... actually we are BRAZILIANS (samba, carnaval an bla bla bl). U know what a mean? And also, i have two nationalities Italian and Brazilian (my father is italian)... and i always say that im Brazilian, and trust me everybody loves more 😂 Before, i lived in USA and europe as well... but now, i live in Dubai and i can say that Brazilians are very respect for all nationalities... our passport is very powerful compares to latin countries like Venezuela, Argentina, colombia... maybe u don’t have idea... and unfortunately the “latinos” as u said they really suffer racism from the others. I can see the way they treat me as a Brazilian compairs for the rest of latinos :/ And also as a Italian and lived there for many years i can say that i never ever had any problem, instead they treat me in all europe always as a “King”. Actually, KZbinrs knows how to convince and make dramas = we!
