Sinatra re-recorded the song in English from the original version of singer Tom Jobim, Garota de Ipanema (The girl from Ipanema) and with that Brazil came to be seen with the image of beautiful beaches, white women, blondes with perfect bodies. Anitta made this updated version to show the real Rio de Janeiro and not the image of the perfect and wonderful place. The scene cuts are to reflect exactly that, the Rio of the 60s and the current Rio.

Aaaah I loooved your reaction! This is her Debut song in the US market! She is now with Warner music US! She tried to show the Fancy Rio from back in the days with the rich people and the Rio she was raised in the favela! This was filmed in Piscinao de ramos! Is a fake beach created to poor people that live far aways from the beaches! This was a way for them to be able to go to the beach because there wasnt a good way of transportation because rich people in that time didnt want to get mixed with the poor people from the favelas!

She's showing the Rio she knows, Rio being a travel place is different from Rio for the people who live there, for the poor, the people who live in favelas like Anitta used to live. The "beach" in this video is called "Piscinão de Ramos", it is a place where the poor, the people from favela go to have fun, they don't go to the beautiful and famous beaches that the movies show, they don't eat in restaurants facing the beach, they do barbecue in the sand and take the drink from home, it's about things like that
