I love mine! It's so portable. I tested it on my coffeemaker, no problem, I then tried it on my window unit A/C and it ran it fine!

The only thing I’d change is I’d add some sort of light deflector. When you’re in the dark the light doesn’t help at all with seeing the plugs. The light basically blinds ya.
@MikeTrachtenberg
@MikeTrachtenberg 9 ай бұрын
That would be a good idea for sure. I'm guessing the light is more for the alerting people or for using as a light for other stuff but yeah, a tiny little light that allows you to see the ports would be a great idea!

good idea, even at the lowest level the light is blinding

They recently came out with an extended battery you can plug in directly to double the watt hours. The only problem? For $90 more you can get an entire c1000 station with the same power and use it as a backup if necessary. Yes, it would be bigger and heavier, but still… I’m thinking about it.

@@nieeakeem1033 you can also buy a 110 amp hour lifepro battery a charger and a pure sine inverter for about the same price. I did. I asked customer service first. Yes you can recharge the Anker power station doing this. It cost about the same but the inverter and charger can be used for other stuff.

I think this size is perfect for most things. The fact that you can power most home appliances like a coffee maker, electric frying pan etc. You can take this overlanding and never have to build a fire if you don't want to. I just bought a BLue Ettie AC 180 with the same power etc on the black friday sales for $669 but have heard nothing but good about the ANker stuff.

I am surprised you find this unit "big and heavy". I'm a 66 year old woman and I have no problem lifting or carrying it at all!
@MikeTrachtenberg
@MikeTrachtenberg 9 ай бұрын
LOL - I think the reason I find it "big & heavy" is because I've only used smaller stations prior, a 300Wh & a 700Wh so compared to those, it's bigger. I'm glad you have no problem carrying it ☺️

He referenced carrying it with one hand as carrying it like a farmer. I did laugh at that one. Most guys would carry it like that,but short distance or to a higher level two hands.

@@spencermcallister5582 Well to be completely transparent, I have owned horses and other livestock for years and lifted 50 lb feed bags and even heavier hay bales, so there’s that. I am not super fit anymore, but just didn’t want someone to read his experience and “think” they couldn’t handle it. I LOVE mine, it is so convenient. I just sold another one to a fellow horse camper this weekend, after they saw how well it worked and how quick it charged on just one 200W solar panel!

The default start up setting is fan speed 3. Most RTT’s won’t need more than fan speed 2 to keep the tent at 70 deg while in 25 deg weather. So you would get much less battery drain at speed 1 or 2. Also I’d be curious to find out if your diesel heater default want on fan speed at startup but rather auto thermostat mode.

If I was on speed 3, I could have probably been fine with speed 1. Next time, I will need to check that. It got HOT in there!

When you ran the diesel heater for 12 hours, what fan speed did you run the diesel heater on? Fan speed 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?
@MikeTrachtenberg
@MikeTrachtenberg 8 ай бұрын
I made an entire video on the diesel heater and I have no idea 😆. I set it up 2 years ago and hadn't used it since. I forgot that was something I could even change. Knowing me, I'm guessing I would have used 3.

I get really tired of just another infomercial. True reviews will certainly find cons or at least room for improvement. I own two of these units and have experience with other brands. I am happy with them for what they are, and think it the best sub 2kwh power bank there is. But: Only one DC outlet (12v), a 30 amp DC output connector would make it more useful, as would barrel outputs. No dust covers for all but the 12v output. Only two USB-C outputs, and only one at 100watts, as you mentioned no wireless charger, Anker could do better. App should support charge and discharge level limits, as well as notifications for those. Doesn’t support simultaneous dc and ac charging, prioritizing dc for solar.

I think some of the things that bothered you didn't bother me but you make some good points. Honestly, I still think it's great and haven't had any complaints. Maybe we use it for different purposes, maybe I'm just not picky about some of that stuff but I appreciate the comment!
