This year soundcore has gone all out with their new flagship speaker, the rave plus, but wow does the jbl pull well above its price! I currently have 2 of the soundcores because they went on sales for a good 100 CAD. If jbl releases a newer one I am ready to snatch it. Thanks Oluv! I had the same impression when I bought the rave mini on clearance for $100USD. Almost like the tweeter was not wired in and the paper woofer was doing everything. It was also a bit quieter than my soundcore model zero. While the zero is a bit sibilant, it's not too big of a deal to me. Thanks for making the video. You and the family stay healthy Oluv!

Listening with my crusher wireless headphones, the bass is so encompassing on the jbl partybox is really amazing. While the bass hit pretty well on the Rave,the Partybox shook my headphones. Guess I know which I’m buying next. Great work as always!

Disappointed by the sound on the Soundcore Rave compared to the Partybox 100. I've got the Soundcore Motion+ and it's absolutely amazing compared to my Xtreme, so I would've thought they were going to kill JBL once again. Going to stick with my Partybox 300 so long.

Hello Autunite, I have 2 motion booms and I put them in stereo, they sound incredible. I usually wear them to throw parties in the street where we get together like 30 people. They sound good but I would like a little more volume, do you think the party box 100 will sound much louder than the 2 motion boom + in stereo?

The Rave is good but on max volume your getting 20 Minutes on it then it goes into power saving mode then it does only half volume of it

I have two Rave Soundcore Speakers, the treble is a little better with two playing in stereo, however the tweeters are not crisp and clear. Battery problems may drain quickly in hot conditions.

The Altec Lancing life jacket jolt is a very bad speaker. I got two of them from walmart one totally died on me on the first day i got it. The other one would turn off on me if i had it high on the volume. From what i experienced with Altec Lancing, i'll stick with Soundcore.

Maybe but i dont think so. Itd just a completr different speaker and different woofers. Probably higher quality little drivers invluding tweeters on the motion+ and maybe easier to tune or just sounds better by default.

Thanks for the reviews. One comment I would like to make is that every bluetooth "party" type speaker I have compared sounds terrible without an equalized frequency curve. This applies when comparing speakers side-by-side as well, since the flat-response of each driver within the enclosure/and the speaker's amplifier are all different form manufacturer to manufacturer. So when switching from one speaker to another, they each have to have their response curves optimized for a "true" comparison of each individual speaker. As far as the JBL, I have not tried this particular speaker yet, but I do own the Soundcore Rave, and EQ'd it is quite good. Yes, muddy in the low - weak treble when not EQ'd, but sounds exceptionally good after equalization. Also, keep in mind that the Soundcore Rave is around 33% of the price of the JBL. Maybe not a fair review??

I got the anker and I like how it sounds, but it can use a little more treble...Company should improve sound thru the app firmware....Is well constructed and very solid. The party lights and features are very good, and is Ipx4 splash proof...JBL is superior in sound but cost a little more....

My only issue with JBL is that most portable speaker battery stops charging. All my family member owned a jBL portable speaker and at one point they all had the same issue. Anker in the other hand it might not have the best sound like JBL but it last longer hands down.
