Varnish is not mandatory.. it is just a protection layer to protect the Painting from dust & colour fading in the long run

Fabric pe paint Karne k liye use Fabric paints & just follow the instructions mentioned on the fabric paints about dry time & wash care.. that's it.. no need of varnish

Thanks a lot 🤗 you can apply mod podge just like paint with paint brush or foam brush or simple sponge by dabbing it on surface!! I personally like to apply it with sponge or foam brush to avoid visible brush strokes after drying

Yes you can, but it will be little bit flat then acrylic paints after drying.

I am not very confident about the idea of painting my mask as I don't want to inhale paint smell or fumes while wearing my mask + I like to wash my mask very frequently so would not paint it, hope you understand 🤗
