This song clearly depicted my parents life that they lived as a “lahurey” and “lahurey ko srimati” more that 40 years ago. A young man sacrificing his desires and wishes to work abroad faraway from his loved ones, and a single breadwinner to his parents and his extended family. Coming home every three years or so only to be looked down upon by the city elites while remaining a cash cow for his family. And to be tagged Lahurey all his life. And then to die before reaching old age because of the heavy burden he had to carry his whole life. Unappreciated and underrated. If only he could get his life back would he have lived differently? Would he have had enough time to spend his youthful days with his new bride?

Some feel music with lyrics some feel it with the dhun of the song. But i felt something that just makes me get goosebumps. I feel the lyrics and the breathing way that she is singing it.
