*REVIEW OF CONTESTANTS* I don't necessarily feel okay about swaying votes, if that's how you want to put it, but in an elimination so fundamental to the voting, I'd like to provide voters with some more clarity into who they want to vote to eliminate. So, I'd like to give a review of the characters left in the game and give my take on them, so that the voting could have that extra bit of balance to it, and, you know, just for fun as well. _This will have spoilers from the episode, so if you have yet to watch it, I highly recommend that first._ *1. Baguette: B* I have a strange feeling Anko has written Baguette into a situation that prepares the end of his focus anticipating an elimination, and that's a little unfortunate. Baguette has definitely been an interesting character to watch, especially as of late with the prior episodes. Extending out to the whole community, he is 1 of only 2 characters to speak an actual language that isn't English, and the only one who wasn't a joke character and actually has worth in their show _(Looking at you, Dora.)_ Boat's elimination does make things a little more difficult for him though, as she was the main character he interacted with. However, Anko has shown to us that new character interactions are always occurring, and can make for some great results (The biggest example of this being the prior episode). In a potential situation, Baguette could ally once again with Party Hat, be introduced to Shieldy, and extend the alliance out to 3. As for this episode, Baguette had a noticeable less focus than the rest of the cast, but it's understandable from his perspective, needing to take some time to readjust and restructure his standing in the game. Even with the lack of focus, he proved that he is the most competitive of the bunch, and since this is, you know, a competition, I think his case for staying in the game is pretty big. The character is definitely making a name for himself, and perhaps we should give him some notice for it. *2. Chocolatey: D+* Dang... I think Chocolatey missed a big chance to shine. With the trend of BFFs in animated competitions, I liked to tune in to see if one could strive into their own if their other half were to be eliminated. Sadie kinda did that in TDI, Pencil never developed past Match due to the other remnants of the alliance, and Salt was... Salt. Chocolatey, however, did seem to be doing great on her own, portraying herself to be a formidable opponent and a social player in the game. Unfortunately, her habit of being naive and unaware appears to have returned, and this time, I don't think it's going to make her more liked like BOTO 3 did. This episode for her revolved around the bogus recipe, and the competitiveness and social interaction that made her quite likable to me was removed, and she ultimately faltered in the challenge. In an elimination so fundamental that two will be eliminated, I think Chocolatey kinda screwed herself over, and as she put it, her and Shelly are the only two remaining females in the game. But ignoring genders and looking at the characters themselves, she didn't step up to the plate when she needed to, and I think her elimination might be quite near. *3. Hot Dog: C-* Why do I have that strange feeling Hot Dog's turning into the next Pickle _(Inanimate Insanity)_? He's showcasing himself to be more and more careless, relying on others for his success, and his two best friends are a laidback voice of reason, and an armless female of few words. On the other hand, Hot Dog definitely spend more time helping others before himself, which is a good trait to have as a character and all. However, he definitely focuses on that too much, and hasn't found himself a compromise between being a competitor and being interactive. I didn't really enjoy Hot Dog in this episode. He seemed to be more a utility then a competitor, and great; if you wanna play a social game and help your friends through the game, that's great... for when the contestants vote, but when the voting is viewer based, that doesn't really get you far, and if you are to be eliminated, no doubt your friends will need time to adjust, to which they might not have before they too are eliminated. If Hot Dog is going to stay in the game, he needs to stand up for himself. If he won't compete as a competitor in a competition, then what reason is there for him to stay? *4. Party Hat: C+* Honestly, Party Hat's still a bundle a joy that seems to unleash itself to the viewers each and every episode, and I still love to see him compete and interact through each episode. He's definitely a favorite for the viewers, and it's quite apparent that he's one of Anko's favorites as well. How far will that get him though? Unfortunately, he didn't have much of a good challenge either, and he was one of the character with the most screentime, all of it being with Shieldy, and most of that being talk about what to do for the challenge. With all that build-up came a pretty lackluster ending for Party Hat. On top of that, Party Hat has noticeably received much more votes as of late, and with the pending double elimination, it could certainly spell trouble for him. I don't want to see Party Hat go just yet though. Party Hat is much more than just a favorite. He's actually quite the competitor in the game, and I feel that really needs to be more acknowledged by the viewers. He dreams big and tries to soar high, to which he unfortunately went too big this episode. We also have to remember that he's won many previous challenges, such as the first challenge and the challenge prior to this one. Plus, he's playing more strategically now, forming an official alliance with Shieldy, the potential start of a new sub-plot. This tells me there's much more in store for him, and with himself faltering here, I feel he's definitely made his case to have a second chance. *5. Pizza: D* Is it just me, or is Pizza starting to become manipulative without being an actual antagonist? Is he kinda taking Hot Dog for granted now, to keep himself in the game? Or does he even care about the game anymore? I don't know, there was something rather off with him in this episode that irked me. If he's becoming something of an antagonist, then that'd be pretty cool to be honest. The last antagonist on the show was Controller, and the last antagonizing contestant was Pear, both somewhat a while ago. However, the portrayal of this manipulative side of his was rather... empty. It's starting to appear that his character isn't turning into a strategist, but simply a jerk to be a jerk. And, well, he couldn't have picked a worse time to do that. Facing a double elimination as a character already prior eliminated, beginning on a character transition that could turn viewers against him... it doesn't appear really good for him. Honestly, out of the contestants up for elimination, I do think Pizza should in fact be eliminated from the game. He rejoined to relying on Hot Dog again, he never did anything spectacular, and he's back in yet another corner he's been in before. *6. Shelly: A-* Okay, so I cheer for the underdogs. I'm not guilty for that. At the beginning of the series, we were introduced to a shy personality, and with help from friends, has blossomed into a full-fledged competitor who's really standing her own as of recent. In fact, look back on the previous episodes, and notice how well she's been performing in challenges, and with this episode, she finally got that well-deserved success. Shelly's great to watch, and definitely one of (if not) my favorite contestants in the game. People might see her as timid due to her voice and her reactions to some situations, but there's soo much more to her character that she has gone out and proven. On top of that, she's playing an incredible social game, and with Slurpy's elimination, she's been expanding her friendships with quite a few of the other contestants _(We got another Hot Dog - Shelly scene!!)_ I'm glad she has immunity for the double elimination, because she definitely deserves it. I feel that next episode is going to be that big moment for Shelly that could either prove to people that she has the capability to win, or the moment where the viewers turn against her, and for me... I hope for the former, because Shelly is fantastic to watch every episode. *7. Shieldy: C-* Being the only _contestant_ with a different voice actor other than Anko (excluding Big Orange), I'm still amazed at how great the voice matches the character of Shieldy, and once more, kudos to Nicholas. I do have to confess though... recently, Shieldy's been dug more and more under Party Hat's shadow, as shown in this episode. All of his scenes were with Party Hat, and with that personality, he was definitely more at attention for me. Shieldy didn't have a moment in the episode where he really shined through and made a case for himself. So for this episode, he was... meh for me. He didn't do much wrong, but didn't do much good either, and didn't have a standout moment. I don't think it should be for this reason that he's eliminated, and in fact, I would oppose it. I want Shieldy to stay so he has an episode to really showcase what makes him a contender for winning the game. With the whole alliance sub-plot potential, my visual is that Shieldy can get some time to distance his character from Party Hat, and shine through by interacting with Baguette in the result that Baguette joins the alliance, as mentioned above. Like Party Hat, I'd say give him one more chance to prove himself, and if he can't next episode, then it could be a much more reasonable time for his departure. *FINAL RANKINGS:* _1. Shelly _*_A-_* _2. Baguette _*_B_* _3. Party Hat _*_C+_* _4. Hot Dog _*_C-_* 5. Shieldy C- ---------------------- _6. Chocolatey _*_D+_* _7. Pizza _*_D_*

This is probably the best-written comment i have ever seen on all of youtube, and just for an elimination on BOTO. I agree with you that Pizza seemed to be a bit manipulative in this episode, maybe so he could do better than hot dog and the others. (ANOTHER SHELLY - HOT DOG SCENE!!!!!!) Baguette seemed to have been more bland, what with Boat's elimination, but like you said, friendships can happen all over the place on this show. Half of the characters on this show are extremely friendly and bland to me, which seems to bore me as I crave excitement with these kinds of things. It's nice to see someone else who actually takes a lot of thought into who they should vote. And I agree with you that it's probably Chocolatey's time to go. As for Pizza, I don't wanna see him go out like this. I honestly think his time will come later, say... Sacrificing himself to save hot dog from elimination? That'd be a good end to his character. My opinions: Baguette - Out of the 7 finalists, he's my second favorite. He is a very interesting character with an amazing backstory with his father. Also, if somebody could fix hot dog's machine, then he could possibly win. A small chance of winning, but it's still a chance. Chocolatey - I really don't like Chocolatey. I would actually say she is my worst favorite character out of the seven finalists. She just seems the meanest out of the seven objects and she should really get kicked off. HotDog - Probably third favorite. He is very skilled at knitting, and he seems like that nice guy that you always hang around with. He also a pretty social guy. He made friends with PartyHat, Boombox, Shieldy, Boat (Kinda), and obviously Pizza. PartyHat - Honestly, I don't go crazy over party hat. Sure, PartyHat likes to party and have a good time, but he seems TO happy. There is really no character development for her. Pizza - Basically the same as hot dog, except that he doesn't knit. He's basically a clone of HotDog. Shieldy - #1 favorite character. He seems to do really well in BOTO. He is kind, wants to make friends, and just that happy attitude. He isn't overactive and happy all the time like party hat, but he still is fun. I'm rooting for him. Shelly - I really can't understand Shelly. She is like PartyHat where she gets along with everyone, but she does it in this awkwardly shy tone. I like shelly, but I can't really understand her. I say she needs more screen time and character depth. Rankings: 1) Shieldy 2) Baguette 3) HotDog 4) Party Hat 5) Pizza 6) Shelly 7) Chocolatey I would vote out Pizza and Chocolatey. I hope Shieldy and Baguette make it to the final 2.
