Redy took round 1, round 2 was close but I think Redy BARELY took it, and it was kinda tied for round 3. Good job to both.

My observation is that, since they keep getting tied on the earlier rounds, it was decided on the third round. It seems there's really supposed to be just the first round, but then they tied.* In the second round the judges didn't seem to have made a decision, so there's the third. I think Cheshir could have had the possibility of winning on the second round because both of them did really well on that round, so well that either of them could win it. (Second round is my favorite and Redy Shin freestyling to that song is basically my favorite thing of all right now since lately when I've discovered this). It's a really close fight tho and hard to throw either one out, Redy's strong point being the neatness of her style with smooth flow and aesthetic coherence, while for Cheshir being her intricate style and expressiveness... but the third round decided it. Also Redy has this kind of flow that builds up and have climactic parts (more of that can be seen on the Top 8 battle), her takes done in a neat and coherent style with well-defined parts, and she was able to spontaneously transition between moves smoothly and with ease in a continuous flow. And she also matches the songs' musicality really well with just the right amount/flavor. *PS: so yes I just briefly checked the other Top 16 battles and there'd only been one round for the most of them. This one is actually the longest out of all the 8 pairs to reach a final decision. Wow.
