A married Irish couple who became viral social media sensations for all the wrong reasons have been jailed for a string of so-called 'dine and dash' crimes.
Ann and Bernard McDonagh lived the high-life eating slap-up meals in a series of top quality restaurants across Wales - before fleeing out the door without paying.
But the Co Mayo duo got their just deserts when CCTV footage was posted online by furious restaurant owners and they were traced by UK cops.
Niall talks to Eamon Dillon about the McDonaghs and how they will now be doing porridge in a Welsh jail.

Surprised ye even covered it. This is happening across Ireland too, the same wonderful ethnic minority who also excel as being responsible for 98% of all fuel forecourt drive offs. As for the foal..... Definitely not a fool.... he believes that shite about himself.... I rather look at his long long history 🤬🤬

I've done this myself in Indian restaurants a few times . When I was a teen early twenties after the pub we would often go to a curry house but after a while you would see the odd mate disappear as the meal ended. This set off a stampede because you didn't want to be the one captured for the whole bill. Was it funny for us ? When we were drunk it was hilarious but this is a terrible crime and really can have a devastating effect on those poor souls pulling their back out to keep us fed and watered ❤❤❤

I think you guys are being too lenient and the judge was completely bang on with his assessment and words for them - somebody needs to teach these people they don't live by different rules than the rest of us just because they choose not to. Imagine how many of these they actually got away with/were never reported. It's disgusting and a precedent needed to be set.

Dine n dash is quite common in the states. Has been for decades. This sounds like more than a dine n dash.

Great listening in to podcasts you should do more I like the way ye always stick to crime 👍 brilliant..ps will they ever get the kinahans my honest opinion is no there to big a fish 😀 😉 👍. Global wise only saying rant over enjoy your day...
