Good friends, Kindly forget Miss Miller's age. Talent like hers could always defeat those much younger. She had more talent in her little finger than than stars of today have in their press releases. God bless Ann Miller. When she entertained she gave her all.

...not really that long ago, at least from my memory, 34 years ago, and here we get to revisit a legendary entertainer that not only looks fantastic in glitter costuming, but also has talent beyond exploiting physical assets and over promoted personal media hype. I was fortunate to have experienced the creative virtues of Ann Miller the entertainer while she was alive and still contributing to her performing history.

Ann Miller was such a talented woman in acting, singing, and dancing! Her tap dancing is inspirational. Dancers would record their taps and then film the dance. Only a few could get it perfectly in sync...and she is one of those few!

Great! This is the same year I saw Ann and Mickey in Sugar Babes. The best female dancer in Hollywood, Cyd Charisse is a close second

True, but don't forget Eleanor Powell.
@jackanthony9767 жыл бұрын
It is hard to compare Ann Miller to Cyd Charisse. Ann Miller taps. Cyd Charisse does not tap but is a trained ballerina. Ann cannot do what Cyd Charisse does and Cyd Charisse cannot do what Ann Miller does. They are totally different type of dancers.

And Mark, you couldn't have seen Rooney and Miller in Sugar Babies in 1989. They started in 1979 and their last tour was in 1985.

Not really because they dance in different styles. Now it would be fair to say that Ann Miller is close second to Eleanor Powell, both are the best female tap dancers in history.

I know some people are annoyed that people keep bringing up her age but it’s really challenging to maintain high level dancing skills as you age because your equilibrium starts to go and you lose some muscle mass. It’s not just ageism to comment on it. That she was still able to move like this at 66 is incredible.
@janedoe8054 жыл бұрын
I’ve loved Ann Miller my entire life! No one but Ms. Miller could have followed the phenomenal Eleanor Powell of the 1940’s. Ms. Powell dominated the 40’s and Ms. Miller the 50’s! Now, who ever was in charge of scenery too much liberty... You’ve got the Flatiron Building located on 23rd St, B’way & 5th Ave, something that was supposed to be The Plaza Hotel at 59th & CPW next to one another. The Empire State & Chrysler Buildings in back of the Flatiron towards Downtown. 😂🤣😂 😳🙄🤦🏻♀️

I'm intrigued by where you come by this information?? There is no record of her being one, and when interviewing some her colleagues this certainly never came up. Ultimately, if this is true, what relevance does it have to this performance? Why did you feel the need to share this?
