I played this song for my two sons when they were younger! I recently posted it again for them. They are nine years apart. But they remembered me playing this song. I still cry when I here it! I wished my mom would have told me this!

What i love is the taste. No runnin and skipin and fireworks like some of these younger singers. I love it when singers put God and the message first and not how many notes they can hit. This kind of singing humbles me and makes my heart glad at the same time.

Truly love Ann Nesby. Her voice has always got my attention, my "thought", my sincerest humbleness when I hear her speak in song. She truly can bring a saint on in and with a "sinner". People say comparisons to Patti & Aretha, but that's not fair to Ann. She is in a class by herself. Patti has her style, Aretha hers, and Ann has hers. Ann gives you a thought as you watch her sing and minister in song, she captivates your heart, and she gets that surrender nerve up where you want to run to the altar and give your life to Christ and some.....repent. Her music does have a "Place In My Heart" and I love you Ann Nesby..

She's more of a combo of Patti and Aretha! She has more warmth and bottom end to her voice than Patti whereas Patti's can be a bit brighter and sometimes nasal. Still love them both though.

AInt that the TRUTH!! when u can sing u dont need to run. LOL
@prof3211 жыл бұрын
Completely agree. It's not that she can't run. She's got a ton of them but that's not her only vocal arsenal. All the runs will not compensate for lack of tone which Ann clearly is not in lack of.
