Ann has nothing to prove. She is the greatest female rock vocalist, ever. It pains me to hear her straining. No one would care if she dropped the key and arranged something to suit her voice, now. She's a freaking legend and I have so much respect ad love for her.

Love this song too much.
@ca82MHz Жыл бұрын
In the beginning- except from the scream, she reached most of the notes, then she couldn't keep the strong abdominal support that she'd need, but that might as well come from doing a lot of songs or just beeing tired. She did good on the first one, do she can still do it whe she is having a good day. 🙂

She is magnificent. However it breaks my heart that she does not hit the high notes that she once could. (I understand implicitly, my range is not was it was in the 60’s as a young singer Judi and the Affections ). Anne finishes, turns and walks off. She will always be my inspiration. Her Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center will always be my go to video. Love,love.love her.

I absolutely love the fact they picked it up in the latter part of the song and pumped some life into the same acoustic version she's been doing for decades now, but I have to be honest, she should retire this song. She has had problems hitting the higher notes for several years and this was maybe the worst one yet, she was miles away from any of the high notes. She's got soooo many songs to pick from and has the opportunity to pick songs that are more in her current range. This was not good. I adore her and have since I was a teenager but you have to choose the right songs for your current vocal status, whatever it might be.

If you want it to sound like it did in 1987, then buy the Album.
@lvceline3 жыл бұрын
@@notthatpicky1343 I've bought every album they've ever put out. It's not Ann's fault, she's older so I get it, I just feel bad she gets up on stage and kills herself trying to hit notes she can't anymore.
@J9black3 жыл бұрын
I don't understand why she doesn't sing legit, use a mixed tone instead of trying to chest/belt those notes. The technique is all wrong. As my voice teacher explains, when you're young you can get away with that, but with age you've gotta rely on proper technique. You can hear her getting weaker and weaker as she tries to squeeze those notes out. Makes me sad as her recording of the past are quite good and I've always admired her. I still do.
@fortch173 жыл бұрын
@lvceline Your comment could be the best thing I've read all day. You're 100% right about Ann straining on this song. Not her fault, like you say. This is a hard song to sing and with age it gets harder each day. Ann's a rock Goddess and imo the best female singer of all time. I'm not knocking her either. But she should stick within her vocal limits now, which is still a far wider range than almost anybody her age. Stay safe!
@bobbear44372 жыл бұрын
@@fortch17 I'm thinking you should accept her the way she is now, and enjoy it for what it is! Its her decision to sing what she wants!
