Kabaeva may have had more risk and difficulties but Bessonova had more drama, expression and the best leaps and turns.

Let’s be honest here. Bessonova’s leaps were far easier and her turns were often wobbly, despite lacking difficulty. Peopoe can hate on the Russians all they want but one thing the Russians never do is leave difficulty on the table. They always go for the hardest leaps and turns.

Kabaeva barely jumped , her leaps were so heavy. .. Bessonova was robbed of the gold Olympic medal and it's a fact.

Putting politics aside, Bessonova had the edge in artistry but Kabaeva was on another level when it came to risk and difficulty back in the early 2000s
