The suite consists of musical depictions of 10 paintings by Hartmann, interspersed with a recurring “Promenade” theme, or intermezzo, that represents a visitor-in this case, the composer himself-strolling through the exhibition. The powerful nature of the intermezzi, Mussorgsky acknowledged in one of his letters, reflects his own large physique.

These days it is hard to listen to Anna without the context of Russias aggressive war on Ucraine. Anna uses the weapons she has, music and democracy. The weapons that in the end will conquer stupidity.

Wat doet een pianiste van deze klasse ( Geweldige techniek in combinatie met een uitzonderlijke voordracht ) en dat nog wel met zo'n repertoire in een dorpje als Oudenbosch ? Heeft zij geen management achter zich, dat haar naar grotere podia kan leiden . Ik schrik hiervan !

Het is niet zomaar een klein dorpje waar zij speelt, maar een toppodium, met een topvleugel en waar vele grote musici al gespeeld hebben zoals Quirine Viersen, Igor Roma, Eliane Rodrigues, Thomas Beijer, Marietta Petkova, Zemlinsky quartet, Storioni trio, trio Koch, trio Martinu en vele anderen! Daarnaast wordt dit podium ook gebruikt voor de Zemstov Masterclass, waar Anna Federova ook elk jaar van zich laat horen. Ze willen zonder uitzondering hier weer heel graag nog een keer spelen!!

@@cultuuroudenbosch Woonachtig in het nabij gelegen Roosendaal met een aanmerkelijk groter aantal inwoners en een uitgestrekt industrieterrein met de vestiging van vele gerenommeerde bedrijven, ging ik er gemakshalve vanuit, dat de zoveel kleinere gemeenschap als Oudenbosch cultureel beschouwd, in overdrachtelijke zin ook wel 'onder de rook van' Roosendaal zou liggen........ Natuurlijk is Oudenbosch mij niet geheel onbekend en weet ik van de oude bijzondere geschiedenis van deze plaats. Wat u mij nu voorhoudt is nieuw voor mij. En heeft me ertoe aangezet om mij voor te nemen van elk van de uitvoerenden die opsomt kennis te gaan nemen.
