Anna (Go to Him) was recorder on February 11, 1963, And is an original song by Arthur Alexander. They recorded it during the marathon, single-day session for the Please Please Me album. It’s the third song on the album, which, to me, really kicks off much of the album’s sound, with the distinct presence of their J-160e guitars-Lennon's slightly lower in volume and blending into the vocal mic, and George playing the iconic riff of the song, alternating between fingerpicking and using just the pick for the chords.
If you notice that the video doesn’t quite match the sound of the rhythm guitar, it’s because the audio was taken from a different take than the video. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that I hadn’t recorded that take on camera:(. So, I decided to do another one, but in the end, I think the first take I recorded ended up sounding better and more accurate. Even with that, I hope you enjoy the video! (I promise to be more careful about that from now on haha!)
I titled it 'Remake' because I uploaded this song 2 years ago with my Gretsch Pro Jet when I started my channel. I had made that video private out of embarrassment hahaha, but now I'm making it public to show the difference:)
