My grandpa (back in the day when people weren't so judgy, and certainly didn't toss bon - bons like 'PERVERT" around so cavalierly), at the age of 90, traded his 80 year old girlfriend in for two 40 year olds. Then he swapped one of them for two 20 year old bottles of scotch. Shrewd or perverse? Or none of your business?

Just watched Stowaway and I don't understand how the guy ended up unconscious behind a screwed in wall panel?? And no one in the movie even questioned this at all?
@GodEnderX3 жыл бұрын
Well this a pretty common Hollywood troupe. You learn in cpr if your unconscious for longer than 5 minutes brain death starts occurring. And any anestigologist will tell you putting someone under is extremely precise. Too much and your organs can't operate and you die, too little and you wake up. But if you watch every movie like a physicist, your going to notice alot of flaws that make movies less enjoyable. Ask anyone who's had there job portrayed in a movie, they would be the first to tell you that's not what they do.
@worf72713 жыл бұрын
I'm not just talking about the "stowaway" being unconscious and bleeding for hours. I mean literally, how did he get there? He was found inside a small compartment in the wall that was sealed from the outside, and all they say is "he must have accidentally fallen into it somehow".

Anna's assertion has actual merit, with two specific conditions. The species of scorpion matters e.g. it cant be centroides is very lethal. The other condition involves scorpion contact time, or how much time one spends in the scorpion barrel In contrast, going to space, the majority of relatively high risk occurs during the launch phase and return to earth while the amount of time spent in space is relatively less relevant from a probability of death perspective. So one could specify a low duration scorpion barrel contact time with a non poisonous species of scorpion leading to a much lower risk of death than one round trip to space You're welcome smart people.

Maybe Anna Kendrick, if anyone from before-Covid times still could, might get me to care enough to actively seek out a new movie release again. Streaming has killed the movie habit for me. To many venues. To many glitches. To many hands out grubbing for subscriptions that never end. Charging full price for a bunch of 1's and 0's and having nothing tangible to show for it afterwords brings home just how vacuous the whole exchange is. Grocery pick-up and delivery killed the Redbox. Is Redbox still a thing? Guess I'll find out after the second shot. The entertainment industry really ought to get behind broadband access for the hinterlands, and non-exclusive zipcodes, if they want to recapture busy adults with better things to do than suffer the inconvenience of a devoured data allowance because they watched a movie on a screen larger than a postage stamp. Cable is starting to look good again!
