Sorry pal….we went to Anna Maria last year….dont blame the rich…we are not rich….some people waited a long time to buy there and have worked hard to afford that..our vacation was expensive but we’re grateful to experience the island…rich and poor people are everywhere…reasons are many you don’t understand…thanks for the updates…we live in a small ranch in a Chicago suburb..downsized to be near grandkids…people living a couple miles away have million dollar homes….half our age……god bless….accept it…be positive❤

You didn’t get my point…. I was just saying it’s not the people’s fault that have money and live in Anna Maria and unfortunately ocean towns are very high risk for hurricanes… god bless you and I will pray for you all.

Ohio resident here, was just down there 4 months ago staying at Seista Key for a week and we spent a day at beautiful Anna Maria Island. It was heartbreaking 💔 to see all the destruction of the island, Seista Key and Sarasota area. I fell in love with the place while we were down there.

I want to say many thnx for your painstaking sleepless devotion to bring these vids to us!! We live in Venice n have enjoyed Anna Maria Island many times!! One occasion that stands out was a few years ago the magnificent Clydesdale horses complete with the Budweiser wagon and Dalmatian pooch rolled through the roads; I’ll never forget it!! Was a real treat to see them up close adorned in their best parade gear!! I see the Rod n Reel rustic restaurant didn’t survive; was an iconic landmark, so sad!! And yes the white sand piles that had laid on the pristine beaches does look like snow but won’t melt so will need to be sifted n put back where it belongs!!

Wal-Mart in Palmetto had bathrooms, showers and laundry stations set up also. Also had a big truck ( Tyson foods)giving out warm meals. But it took them a couple days to get it set up. So it wasn't just Anna Maria that had stuff like that set up. Think they still have some stuff set up out there, not sure though.

this looks like a beautiful island well was the weather is beautiful always after hurricane but all the destruction it will take them long time to repair I wonder if Florida had more nature trees than it has today those trees that were there for reason it might not be healthy to overpopulate I think Florida was very green half island that is what it is

Get thru the rest of hurricane season and make sure the hurricanes are over. People will still come to the beach no matter what. People can come down for the winter and clean up.

I’ve recently became of wind burn and salty sea spray burn that seems prevalent on the plants, shrubs and trees after these two hurricanes struck two weeks apart!! It’s advised to hose them down to remove the salt since no rain is predicted for awhile!!

Y no le vendría nada mal manguerazo de agua dulce o se olvidan de las plantas, que es lo único que se aferra a la arena y los dejar pisar algo que no sea agua salada.

its hard to believe that there are people who want poor people gone, (they might have good reasons or maybe they are just selfish)the one tht wants this is cities and state becaue they want more money to steal from people. taxes from a richer person is more than from a poor person common sense. sad reality of life those who rule and control society dont have any compassion for concern for us, poor people working poor etc.
