Yo he tenido la suerte de verla y oirla en directo y os aseguro que fue una experiencia única, me mantuvo el vello erizado todo el tiempo, incluso la oí cantar sin micrófono y fue un éxtasis. Bravo Anna!!!!

This is a disaster. Gelb speaks for 3min non stop, she cannot even say "hello" and then they move to a clip. Where is the 'conversation' part happening?
@SteveL20123 жыл бұрын
God, her voice is so labored, wobbly and unnaturally heavy in that first clip. She sounds 90 years old. Are they intentionally trying to drive audiences away from opera? If so, perfectly executed strategy.

What an unusual program, Day and Night 😂👏 In this conversation she looks like a rich student who came to an oral exam without preparing the subject, but she knows that professor is gonna let her pass it anyways. And professor knows that she is not prepared, but for some reason (lack of power) he will put her the best mark.

Many singers have used blackface to do Aida. There's nothing wrong with that. People like to conflate that with the blackface from old minstrel shows. They are not the same thing though, so just stop.

Opera is in big trouble. Gelb is boring. Netrebko used to have the most glorious voice. She has lost her lyricism and now just bellows. Her husband is a great tenor? Please. The Met needs new blood.

Gary Fisher Gary, I wonder, are you aware of how long Maria Callas was singing? Anna is singing now much longer and, again, if you remember how her voice deteriorated after she stopped singing, you probably should know that she was still internationally appreciated. Anna' s Il Puritani, Manon, Anna Bolena, Traviata, Don Pascuale, Elixir D' amore puts her in the position analogous to Callas. So, she should be admired no less than Callas for these roles even though her voice now is different and, to many, less appealing.

@@SuperArkleo dont you dare compare netrebko to callas.
@parentastrology54403 жыл бұрын
@@SuperArkleo There are many great sopranos, like Caballé, Freni, Price, Te Kanawa, Nilsson, etc. who never went to heavy singing with a labored vibrato. They kept the beauty of their voices to the very end. Your soprano had one of most beautiful voices ever, so sad she went into the dramatic literature. Her Turandot is painful. Screw today's International audiences who applaud anything like the garbage put out by Regietheater Directors.
@SuperArkleo3 жыл бұрын
@@parentastrology5440 I agree with everything and, myself would write the same. However Netrebko must pay bills , like all of us. And, for her, this is a matter of survival. Yes, all these divas are great, yes, I love them all, but Netrebko came to stardome from the very bottom, very much like Galina Vishnevskaya. But Vishnevskaya' s husband was Mstislav Rostropovich. Therefore she was secure. Yusif Evazov is surely not Rostropovich.Accordingly, Anna must act in order to maitain her status.
@ayleenx3503 жыл бұрын
@@SuperArkleo every singers are individually exclusive. They are famous in own times. Anna is great in our time. Some people always trying to compare , ? for what. If some one like Callas, to get her records listening and don't need to write online about another singer negatives opinions .
